when the game was ported to the PC the soundtrack was poorly deliverd with low quality mp3 files. this mod contains the original PS2 mp3 files which are higher quality, in short the music in your game will sound alot better.

Step 1: download the RF2 HD Music Mod from faction files.
Step 2: once you have downloaded the mod, go to "SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Red Faction II/pc_media/Music" then open the mod you have just downloaded and open the music folder and extract all of the sound files in that mod music folder into the music folder in the game. If it asks you to overwrite any existing files, say yes.

in short the widescreen support in this game aint that good, lets fix that issue.

Step 1: download the Red Faction 2 Widescreen Fixer 0.7.0 from faction files
Step 2: launch the exe and set your res and fov and also enable set key.
Step 3: leave the exe open, and launch the game. when you are in a level you must press the set key which is "tab" by default in order for it to work. cutscenes will also reset your fov so you must press the set key often to reset to the fov you want.
