Some characters Id love to try out while also using a girl character, I.E. Flick and Alex.

I want to romance Hoffman and always play as a guy but every time I go somewhere wrong in the dialogue options and the romance option never comes up. By the time of the bowling scene, he says he isn't interested in that way. Does anyone half a walkthrough for his romance route?
