To get the controller support to work for Northern Journey follow these simple steps:

First go into the game properties (right click on the game in your steam library and select PROPERTIES, and go to the CONTROLLER settings (last option once you go into the game properties). From the drop down menu select : Enable Steam Input

*Note* make sure you have already connected your Xbox Controller.

OPTION 1:
Import this controller config. (Should launch the steam client bootstrapper)

OPTION 2
Another way to import the config is to go into the controller configuration settings and import the config from the community tab within the steam overlay screen.

Start the game and at the main menu press Shift-Tab to take you to the steam overlay screen. Then click on Controller Configuration (found in the top right corner of the overlay screen).

Once the controller configuration screen opens. It should show an image of the Xbox Controller on the screen. Ensure your Xbox Elite Controller is active, (try moving or pressing a button). Next click on the "Browse Configs" Button at the bottom of the configuration screen.

From there click on Community and select: Northern Journey Xbox Elite Controller Configuration

This should load up the configuration. Back out and click Done. It will take you back to the Steam overlay screen. Then simply press Shift-Tab to return back into the game.
