[Linux + Proton] Bypass 2K Launcher

You probably have already seen the other popular 2K Bypass Guide made by: BezaoBuilder.

But that guide's Linux bypass only worked for Linux Native Civ6, and I have problems while running native Civ6 so I have to resort to using Proton. So with that I decided to share this small fix for people in the same boat as me!

Put this in Launch Options:

eval $( echo "%command%" | sed "s/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe'.*/Base\/Binaries\/Win64Steam\/CivilizationVI'/" )

For DX12, just put CivilizationVI_DX12 instead of being plain CivilizationVI like in the code.
Found in ProtonDB[www.protondb.com]

Edit 1: Use "Proton Experimental" instead of the 6.3-2 Proton, it runs perfectly offline/online with all DLCs and with dozens of 3rd Party mods.

This based command still works.

Bikun: I'm pretty sure you need to run the game with the launcher, sign in to 2K, and then you can use the bypass script and keep Ceaser.

I cannot access Julius Ceaser, But I was able to bypass the launcher and the 2K account option on the lower right corner is grayed out (offline).
Is there anyway I can get Ceaser?

If anyone is running into some issue, for me this did not work with the latest versions of proton (9.0 and experimental)

I reverted to proton 6.3-8 and then it did work for me (I did not check any other versions)

Linux native version: No mod support, bad performance, no 2k launcher
Windows native: 2k launcher but everything works fine
why is firaxis like this?

If anyone has issues similar to what Dimike96 is describing (when this guide's launch option is NOT applied), delete the "T2GP Launcher" folders within the game's Wine prefix. E.g.:

$ rm -rf ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/289070/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/T2GP\ Launcher
$ rm -rf ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/289070/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/T2GP\ Launcher

You have to do this every time before you launch. Now you see why I sought a workaround.
