In Japanese mythology the Baku is a supernatural being that devours nightmares. Some cultures depict the creature as a Chimera of an elephant, tiger, snake.. etc, and some just as a Tapir.

As such I’ve depicted the creature as a Chimera and attempted an illustrative style loosely based on Japanese woodblock illustration. To symbolically represent dreams I looked to Vincent Van Goghs Starry night and hand drawn then vectorised hypnotic swirls as an outline pattern. These swirls I've also used elsewhere on the design. As such the influences are also a bit of a Chimera!

The copper version is the original but is a more subtle execution, so to add more salience I've created 3 other colour options.
