1. Download dgVoodoo v2.75.1[dege.freeweb.hu]

2. Unpack to game folder three files: dgVoodooCpl.exe, DDraw.dll, D3DImm.dll


3. Run dgVoodooCpl.exe click on Add button and choose game folder next choose it from dropdown list. Set other options as in the screenshot below.



Disclaimer game run in 4:3 aspect ratio, for 1080p type 1440x1080 into the resolution box and for 4K set 2880x2160

4. Click Apply and OK, now in the game folder appear dgVoodoo.conf file

5. Play ;)

It's not working, also there is a newer version of dgvoodoo.

The locations for the correct files in the latest version of dgVoodoo have changed (2.83.2 at the time of writing).
dgVoodoo2_83_2\MS\x86 (even if you're on a x64 system)
is where you'll want to locate the D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll .
Everything else reportedly works just fine as stated. Enjoy

Not only it worked like a charm, I used it also for Tomb Raider II, which took me hours searching in vain for someone to guide me! And guess what: neither weird auto-fixes, neither windows compatibility experiments! It made the game run as smooth as 20 years ago!! Strange that only few people seem to know this voodoo thing. Thank you Lynx! We owe you a lot!

It doesn't change the graphics quality for me, just makes mouse movement extremely slow. (The conf file did appear.)
