Beskrivning
A deadly weapon that fires extremely powerful bursts of charged particles, the pulse accelerator is a fearsome sight on any capital ship. These are only available quite a distance into the galaxy, and are vanishingly rare. However, any captain who gets their hands on one of these will undoubtedly be feared by their opposition.

If you don't recognize the Nyi Roro by now, you clearly haven't been following my workshop for long enough! The in-game turrets will look like railguns.

Atm these are pretty unusable. they take 100GW of power each when you equip them, then each time you fire them. shooting a dozen of these at once drains all ships power and leaves you helpless for minutes before it recovers

I try not to mess with things 2+ years after they were posted, but I'm trying to keep all of the AeX weapons roughly balanced with Vanilla and I think I missed the mark here.

Just a heads up I may end up nerfing these in the near future. I'm going to have to do a balancing pass on these at some point and I felt like they were roughly balanced but I don't think I checked the near-core turret factories well enough.

Don't worry, I'll try not to nerf them too aggressively, and I'll probably put the possibility for a plasma / antimatter accelerator in at that point.

Energy damage seems to be the Good against all, no real downside energy type, sure some resistant enemies or such to it exist (maybe, not sure) but from what I have seen its not bad against anything, shields normal, hull normal, your blacken space cookies that got burnt super harder then rocks or diamonds...damage normal to that too.
yes subs exist to give resist for you, but Energy weapons are a safe bet to use in 90% of the game,
(just avoid the Rift penalty to energy weapon types, yes this applies to some plasma weapons and even antimatter weapons damage last I checked.)

I checked and I guess they don't exist after all. Huh. Energy damage is good for something :D

Ah damn, I don't think a shield ioniser for energy exists, a bit hard to protect yourself from these energy weapons.

The damage type on this is energy, does it count as electric for the shield ioniser subsystem?

They got nerfed because someone else complained about how they overshadowed all of the other weapon types.
