Just as the game says. All you have to do is quit the game and go back into it.

Don't play The Stanley Parable for 5 YEARS

Since the game came out in 2013 and it's now 2014 at time of writing, everybody you see that has it has either gone into the game files to bind the Achievement to a certain button or changed their clocks forward 5 years. The second way is the way I got this Achievement

I've probably got the amount of 8s wrong but to get this Achievement you have to 888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 (follow the narrator to the boss' office and type in 8888 in the keypad twice and you'll here a voice say 8 - a reference to the game's demo in which the narrator tries to show the player The Stanley Parable Demo but instead gives the player the 8 game)

probably a bit overkill with that amount of pictures
Commitment
Play The Stanley Parable for the entire duration of a tuesday

Start playing the game and then changing the system clock apparently is supposed to work but it doesn't for me. Maybe because I am trying this when my internal clock says Tuesday and not Steam's clock
Speed Run
Complete The Stanley Parable in less than 4 mins 22 secs (Excluding load times)

to do this, you need to get to the boss's office so many times that the narrator opens the secret door for you.

Next, keep restarting until you get a short corridor leading to the "Choice Doors". This corridor is shorter than the blue office room.

If you're quick enough, you'll turn off the Mind Control Facility and escape to get the "Freedom Ending" and get the achievement

This is an Achievement

Pause the game and go to options. Go to Extras and turn Achievement On. This Achievement will appear no matter how many times you turn it off and on again.

It's like they say in The IT Crowd: "Have You Tried Turning It Off And On Again?"
Unachievable
This Achievement is Unachievable.

Some people say this Achievement really is Unachieveable. Some people say they got the achievement by randomly quick save quick loading. this was later said to be removed. Others say it now has something to the Baby Game 4 Hours Ending. If you don't mind using dirty tricks, than follow Rob's Guide

@RoberTime: I did the same thing for Commitment - it was the dead of winter, and my room was good and cold. Didn't have to worry about my computer at all.

As far as I know, there are rumors of Unachieveable appearing during the 4 hour baby game ending, but since I never actually have 4 hours to spend playing the baby game, I followed Rob's Guide instead, which seems to be something the devs expected, as "Hey, don't you even try" appears doing the usual method. There's also apparently console commands for other achievements, but I'll get those ones legit, maybe even Unachiveable some day. Anyway, good luck getting it, I might even try the 4 hour baby game for myself soon enough, as you could probably use the same method as Commitment, maybe even while trying to get them both legitimately.

Holy shit I just wrote a lot in a few minutes while also talking on Skype...

I got Commitment by leaving The Stanley Parable on before Tuesday at Midnight, then left it on all tuesday until the Midnight of Wednesday. I got the achievement. :dealwithit:

As for Unachievable, IIRC, you must fulfill a specific criteria that is randomized each time. I don't know which things in the criteria are possible to get this achievement. I only need this achievement to get all of the TSP achievements.
