3D Lidar "Sonar" Test

描述
The bow of a much larger submarine, which I would post if I knew how to spawn larger-than-the-editor vehicles without modified editors. Something to do with missions, I know, but I haven't looked into it.

This is a demonstration rig for the spiral-scanning 3d lidar in use aboard it. Spawn in the creative island hangar for a decent view of the mountains. You're welcome to make use of the system yourself (or, better yet, use it to help you make one that sucks less than mine), but I'd appreciate credit if so.

Unfortunately I couldn't get it to upload as a mission (CTD every time I tried), so you'll have to slap the mission together yourself or spawn it from a modified workbench. Opathu's description of how to set up the mission is perfect if you need one.

You can upload it as a mission (the full submarine).

if you need spawn this you can go to the game files and edit the sizs, josh j gaming i believe has a good video on this

I'll see about getting it properly separate. This was a quick hack job because the subject came up in the discord, and actually extracting the whole contraption will be a bit of a process. I did a lot of the development (I didn't have the prototype working as well as I thought I did) on-vehicle, and it was quite a while ago now. It would be nice to have it separate though, so I'll take care of it when I get a chance.

can you make a separate version of this that is just a module of the microcontrollers and camera so I can implement them in another vehicle?

awesome! U can spawn large vehicles by pressing escape, pressing the flag thing, pressing the environment mods then the big arrow button on it, then on the bottom bar thing there is a steering wheel looking thing, the rest is self explanitory :D.
