So wtf is deep rock galactic its a game where you mine minerals and hold up against waves or Bugs if you played left 4 dead you would find similar experience but its not minecraft in a procedural generated caves 
basically 1-4 Player co-op, 4 unique classes, fully destructible terrain with randomized environment and RNG to a degree
there several biomes and missions to choose from with high and low difficulty + hazards that can add difficulty long or short missions 
theres no lootboxes but there are cosmetics as a reward that can be found in a mission or nothing at all there are weekly events that is just finding matrix blank core or overclocks + cosmetics
