To beat the clock with class 1 cars pick the car with the top speed (the last one, position 5). Some prefer the car in this class with the best acceleration (third one). It is also possible, but i made it like some others with the top speed car.

The raceway have 2 "zones" the light grey in the innercircle and the dark one on the outside. In the middle is a yellow line to seperate them. For class 1 this line is the key!

In the light grey zone your car has a handling like it is on slicks, it will drift uncontrollable in the curve and will never hit fullspeed, even if you are spamming nitro. I tried it 100 times, it is nearly impossible. I got just times around ~15,2.

How you beat the time:
Like i wrote above I picked the top speed car. On the straight ways stay near the yellow line in the darker zone and "spam" your nitro (use it, stop it, wait a bit, use it). In the curve use as much nitro as you need and still try to stay in the inner part of the darker zone. Try to come as near to "drift" as you can. The class 1 is to slow to drift, so dont worry if you still drive normally. The next straight spam your nitro again and save one bar for the last curve. In the curve try to use your last nitro above the lighter part to come to the "pit lane" and spam the new nitro to drive over the finish lane.

This should help you to beat the oval layton raceway. The crossed one should be much easier and was possible for me with normal driving in the light grey zone.

With the class 2 cars you can drift. That can be an extreme advantage. To drift just tap or hold the break and bring your car in an angle of 30-45°. The Nitro is also something you can hold the whole time or at least use it as you think. For my achievement: I used it the whole curve! The longer you hold the drift the more "driftboost" you get. It sounds weird, but yeah you are faster in drift.

Yeah, it's something you have to do by your instinct. if you have the feeling you lose speed, stop it, if you lose your drift, tap it.

How you beat the time:
You have to "spam" your nitro on the straight ways (tap it, stop it, wait, tap it,..). In the curve use as much nitro as you need for the drift, but the most important part: drift! The drift should be on the light grey zone as near to the inner broder as you can. In this class you can drive on the light grey inner zone! If you drive the crossed (X-Form Layton): The nitro should be 1/3 and 1/3 on the straight ways of the X and 1/3 on the curve. But make sure you have a last bar for the last curve to come in the pit lane and use the new nitro to come over the finish lane.
