Boring way to win consistently as any class.
I get Easy ascension 20 with Slave holder, but don't see why it should not work with other dungeon masters.

I beat 20 ascension without any loss with below squad with Slaveholder and Enchantress, but i see no reson,why it should not work for other dungeon masters

Why 3 Time watchers? It's best unit in entire game and you will use it in each battle. You need 3 so 2 of them can fight and one can rest.
All statuses (Enrage, Terrified or Guaranted critical) applies to Time Watcher's 20% morale attack, so keep it in mind, when looking for colleages for your main force.

Keep your time watchers always in first room, and buy them units who can tank, increase speed, or decrease speed of the enemies. Keep in mind that when time watcher dies, it give speed buff to other minions, so you can sacrifice one of them just to make other time watchers faster.

Rest of your dungeon

You can assume that after first room,the heroes will come with sth about 50% morale.
Now you can finish them by flat morale dealers.

Traps & tank:
Note, that trap which increases dragons health stack itself!
Thanks to that there is no better tank in the game, than any dragon + double dragon trap set up.

Flat morale dealers:
Here we have a few options. I found 2 Blobfishman most cost effective. Their true potential comes after first upgrade - 80 morale + terriffied debuff. Also their health is relatively good.

Other options are:
Psychoimps
Adv
-potentially best area morale dealers.
-highspeed
-low cost

cons:
-highmorale output is conditional
-low health

headless Knight
Adv:
-have terrified debuff at first level
-the same morale at first level as Blobfishman

Cons:
-worse than Blobfishman at second level
-cost twice much as Blobfishman

Gold spending

Priorities:

0
buy some tanks for room 1 and some dragons for room 2

Only one level of upgrade is required for your morale dealers.
Ignore upgrading and buying new traps completely.

I tried many different strategies and this is the only one that got passed Ascension 1. I am on Ascension 5 now and for some reason it just gets easier. most heroes don't make it passed the intern let alone to the second room of mobs. I will say that you need to level up your Time Watchers ASAP. that buff from 10% to 20% morale damage is huge! it is the only attack in the entire game that properly scales with the heroes and is not resisted (except by one dude that has a special passive to reduce morale damage).

After completing the achievement for Ascension 20, I can safely say that this strategy works 100% for the Slaveholder and (more or less) with the Lord.
I couldn't, for the life of me, made this setup work with the Enchantress and Engineer (partially because the horn trap isn't available to them and their servant rooms and/or spells don't include a lot of demoralisation). I didn't bother trying it with the Troll and the Hippo.

This still works great with the current version, although I would suggest grief weaver instead of the skeleton cultist. They have very similar roles and skills but the grief weaver is also a demon so you get a three demon lineup in team 1 to take advantage of artifacts like rallying banner.

It is not great with enchanter or engineer, but works really well with Lord and is practically invincible with goddess and the HP increasing sarcophagus.
