how to get vtol

to get the vtol you need to do the following steps:
-go to vesania
-find datarecorder marked with blue symbol to find it easier use the compass accessed with holding r
-use dynamite to blow up the datarecorder
- get the exo chips
- find mat which is now marked with the same symbol
-give mat one exo chip
-give mat 2 tungsten carbide
-give mat 2 silicone
now go to a landing pad or somewhere you can access missions
there should now be many completed missions now and the reward of one of the is the vtols shematic

Quest line for vtol is longer now, requires 2 titanium, 2 graphite, 2 tungsten, and 2 full containers of hydrogen, and 2 full canisters of nitrogen (so 10 units of each total), between the "1 exo chip" and the "2 tungsten carbide and 2 silicone". plus three more exo chips after all that

also, bgodfrey, if you happen to be lucky enough to find a stick o dynamite in salvage on Sylva, you can drag it into the caves and surround it with Exo caches, then detonate it to get a literal pile of exo chips really early on in the game.

because i practically established infinite material production before i even started doing missions.
