Skill 1: Piloting - Enhance ships accuracy and movement
Skill 2: Enforce - Augment Weapon systems for more energy or damage
Skill 3: Railgunner - Enhance Railgun Weapons
Skill 4: Heavy Hitter - Enhance Heavy Weapons
Why am I getting beams and rails for skill 3 and 4 instead of what is written? Did I do something wrong?
Logic
Engineer AKA science vessel high energy output = better stores for beams which are energy intensive good accuracy lower damage but the eng skills can use the accuracy with skills to bleed energy and shields from the target
Gunner Cannons usually have better range/damage making the gunner class and long range low hp glass cannon
Commander rails usually use almost no energy saving that energy for sub systems and have mid range lower shield damage than other weapons using the tankyer class skills to wear an apponent down or keep them busy while fighters engage
Maybe all of this dont translate into the game but as for feel this makes sense to me
