Photon Torpedo Mod

Описание
This mod adds a "photon torpedo" (Light Weapon) to your Myrmidon at the start of a new game. Make Starfleet Command proud by using it infrequently.

Backup your save files!!!

It doesn't modify an existing weapon but adds a new one instead and will corrupt savefiles shhould you choose to disable or uninstall it.

Subscribing to mods apparently doesn't work yet so use the spg2modmanager.exe located in your game folder to browse and dowload it.

@AdmiralTigerclaw could you somehow upload the files or tell what you did? I somehow am unable to get it running stable myself...

Okay, so I got this and after messing with some modding, getting it to work is pretty easy. The weapons file in the mod folder overrides the weapons file in the base game, but the mod's file is an older version that is missing several lines of weapons that now exist in the game. When the stock game looks for those missing weapon numbers because they are called by ships/stations, it pukes up an error and crashes. This can be made to work again by transcribing the photon torpedo weapon code into an updated version of the game's weapons file as weapon number 101 (after all the 'reserved' lines).

Unfortunately, I am unsure how to put the weapon into drydock inventories.

Why not a heavy weapon? We already have beam weapons to emulate phasers for light weapons

Any thoughts of making this mod for Heavy Battery... just seems to make more sense to me (one man's opinion).

I'll update this mod so it works with the latest game version soon. About change I dunno. I'll see. I don't have much time ):
