And even back then this was simply 'my thoughts on the game', it was never intended to be some 100% best guide everyone should follow, I am type of player who never follows the intended path or optimal builds, I simply play and what I feel like I enjoy and is good, I use, even if others might think otherwise
Hand crossbow is best aoe in game/multishot in game
Heavy crossbow is probably the weakest but it is good as 2nd set weapon
Gun is great for more frontline ranged heroes that bulk up a bit
Rifle is great for stalling and picking of big targets
And Longbow has some of best utility/support in game and similarly to Rifle can also pick off big targets
So it's basically what you value, for me, raw damage and raw damage only doesn't have that high value, but if it does for you, more power to you really
My current order is usually houses, gold mines, seer, scavenger, inn, then a weapon building, prioritising upgrades for the gold mines, then the inn.
Should be able to have upgraded gold mines fairly early and a full team of 6 heroes by night 7 and all of them fully weaponed up by night 8
I always try to build the seer by day 4 just to give me some breathing room
