Mera's Knot Intersection v.2

An improved version of my 4-way intersection, which also works wonderfully as a highway exit.
This version has smoother curves and the roads going straight through are upgraded to 2-lane roads to allow more traffic. I have also applied 4-lane roads leading in and out of the intersection. These should be connected directly to the regular 3-lane highways and will allow traffic to spread out nicely as they choose their path. :)

TM:PE is highly recommended for this to work smoothly with heavy traffic. Use the lane tool to force traffic into the appropriate lanes wherever roads merge or divide within the interchange so vehicles will never cross each other, but allow them to pick their lanes before they enter. Remember that vehicles need one node per lane switch unless they can pick a lane at an intersection, so make sure there are enough nodes on roads approaching this interchange so you don't get a lot of vehicles crossing each other at the point where your roads meet the 4-lane highways.
You will probably also want to adjust the speed within the interchange down to more appropriate levels!
