Employment - Introduction

* NPC worker or traveller always sits near the Campfires they never sleep and ready for employment.

IMPORTANT:
* Make sure to have a house, and the right gender for pairing a couple.
Otherwise, when you do recruit, he or she will go homeless.

* Your own house where Racimir lives does not count.
You actually need to build a new house individually for each couple.
Only Racimir wife can move in with him once he got married.

* If you do not recruit a traveller, some of them might get marry to villagers.
Otherwise, they will travel to another village.

Patch v0.6.0.0
* If the player's wife's affection drops to 0, the Wife (and no adult children) will leave the village.
* Each village can have a maximum of 3 NPCs to recruit.
* New feature in dialogues - NPCs do not want to talk if the character is dirty.
* New feature in dialogues - Rumours. (Wife's additional dialogue lines).
* Every NPC lose affection overtime when the player does not speak with them.

Patch v0.6.0.4
* Giving gifts now also adds diplomacy skill points.

Employment Knowledge


Top left corner is the homeless, no food, and no wood sign after successful recruitment.
- You need to assign the new recruit to a house.

* You can only pair 1 male with 1 female in one house when their gender is 20 years different.
For example:
If the male is 31, he can marry a female between 11 - 51 age.
If the male is 18, he can marry a female up to 38 age.
The couple will make a family eventually.

* For Racimir is 9 years different to the NPC traveller or wonderer.

Summary:
Racimir to NPC = 9 Years age gap.
NPC to NPC = 20 Years age gap.

* A potential worker or spouse is the one with skill display by using inspector mode. Hold "Left Alt".

* NPC worker (traveller) reset every season. They travel from village to village until they leave the valley (MAP).

Try to recruit a higher level of skill as needed when you travel.
When you find a better NPC's skill you can consider replacing them for what you need.

HINT:
* Build Washtub (need 3 Bucket of Water to fully fill) near each town, just in case you need to recruit. If you have 3 Bucket of Water, it will fully fill the Washtub in one go.
* Make sure you take a shower in the Washtub or deep lake before trying to recruit and flirt.
* If you stuck in between 2 wrong answers, leave, then try again the next day, if by reloading the game not working.



* NPC workers migrating from town to town if you don't recruit them, from the first night of the season changed around 8 PM.

IMPORTANT:
If you encounter any NPC worker with the same two or higher skills.

For example.
Extraction: 5
Hunting: 3
Farming: 5
Diplomacy: 1
Survival: 1
Production: 3

- Multiple professions (Lumberjack, Miner, Farmer or Crop Worker or Animal Breeder) = Highest Extraction skill & Farming skill.

- Miner/Lumberjack = Highest Extraction skill only.
- Hunter = Highest Hunting skill only.
- Farmer/Crop Worker/Animal Breeder = Highest Farming skill only.
- Store Keeper = Highest Diplomacy skill only.
- Fisher/Gatherer = Highest Survival skill only.
- Craftsman/Innkeeper = Highest Production skill only.

Glad I can help ^^ and thank you for the award.

If in case anything similar happened here's a hint.
Try to double-check the config in the game, very rarely the configuration is reset to 0, you can either delete it from the location it stored from then verify the game or set it up again manually from within the game, either way, it should work.

Yes, I was doing that, but for whatever reason it wasn't working, then I could see the info in towns other than the starter, then I could see the men in the starter town and now I can see everyone. It's a mystery :steamhappy: But thanks for all your work. It's made getting up and running easier and more enjoyable.

If you mean the inspector mode, press and hold Left ALT for traveller in the villagers campfires.

editing my question. Did they remove the ability to look at a potential villager to determine skill level?
