Hold down S when the fish bites and keep holding it down until you catch the fish.

When fish goes left hold D and S, when fish goes right hold A and S.

Do the quests the old fisherman gives before you go for harder fish, doing the quests levels up your fishing and makes it possible to fish harder fish.

Dont buy more of the normal baits.

Buy a lot of baits ~30-50 if you can catch multiple fish with one bait.

You cant do the last four fisherman missions until you have completed first half of the game so dont worry.

On Desert second bite is always junk you can skip the junk without losing lure if you dont try to pull it up too fast or slow

• Rainbow Trout, Northern plains use normal lure

• Sandfish, desert (boat fast travel) use normal lure fish on first bite
  
• Royal Fish, Eastern Valley close to goats and boar use Earthworm fish on third bite
  
• Blue Marlin, Next to old man use normal lure or Sardine fish on first bite
  
• Hyneria, desert (boat fast travel) use Sardine fish on third bite

• Carp, your playername´s village use Earthworm fish on second bite
  
• Shark, next to old man use Sardine fish on second bite
  
• Dunkleosteus, next to old man/left of the old man use Sardine man fish on third bite
  
• Rhizodont, desert (boat fast travel) use Sardine fish on third bite
  
• Giant catfish, Eastern valley close to goats and boar use normal lure fish on first bite
