Sting (Late 90's)

Sting morphed into a darker character as the New World Order rose to prominence, taking inspiration from The Crow.

Sting would hang out in the rafters of WCW shows, rappelling down into the ring to take on the nWo, bat in hand. He went on to defeat Hollywood Hogan in controversial fashion at Starrcade '97 to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, but was stripped of the title shortly after.

Sting recaptured the title at SuperBrawl by once again defeating Hogan. He held the belt for a few months before losing to Randy Savage, who then left the nWo for the nWo Wolfpac, which Sting himself would later join.

Sting remained with WCW until the company was purchased by the WWF in 2001, and he wrestled in the final match on Nitro in March 2001.
