Omschrijving
This is a 2x4 straight (non-corner) L1 high density commercial building based on the Leica Gallery / Store in Los Angeles. I have no idea why I keep making the interiors of buildings, maybe I should go outside to the beach or something.

It is part of my Flagship Store collection Please support the collection and this asset by giving it a thumbs up!

Main Model: 5,732 tris / 2,048x2,048 texture / diffuse, illumination, specular, alpha, normal maps
Glass (incorporated into main model):  96 tris / 128x128 texture / diffuse, specular, alpha maps
Custom LOD:  227 tris / 128x128 texture / diffuse, illumination, specular maps

Screenshots were taken with  Photorealistic_lut_Final_by_Reaper which I highly recommend. The asset has been fine-tuned for saturation and brightness but please feel free to leave me suggestions and I will consider tweaking it in further updates.

Of course, if you encounter any issues in-game and they aren't addressed by the FAQs below, feel free to post them and I'll do my best to fix them. Finally, please thumbs up if you like this asset!

Frequently Asked Questions

I notice different variations of the same questions listed below have been posted on my other assets over and over again, and honestly they are getting on my nerve a bit because they have to do with users not bothering to understand how the game works and jumping to the conclusion that there must be an issue with the asset. Please check to see if the following Q&As resolve your issue before posting a comment. All comments that repeat these questions will be deleted.

1. I placed the building in my city and after a moment it disappears, why?
This is a growable asset, and like any other growable asset in the workshop, you need to place it on the right type of tiles (in this case, high density commercial tiles), otherwise it will disappear UNLESS you have mods installed like Plop the Growables or RICO set to disable despawning. Some of my earlier assets are corner buildings, so they need to be placed at corners (please refer to their workshop descriptions).

2. I can't find the building in the game, I've looked everywhere.
If you use Find It! to plop assets, just search the asset's workshop title in Find It! and it will show up. If you use RICO, remember, like the vast majority of assets in the workshop, this building is not "RICO-ready," (there really isn't any reason why a growable building needs to be made RICO-ready. RICO is mostly for turning special buildings into growables) and so you will need to add your own local settings in RICO before it will show up in the RICO search tool. Simply click on the RICO settings tab and search the asset's workshop title and then add local settings -- just like what you do with any other non-RICO asset in the workshop.

3. Why don't you make your buildings Level 3? They change as soon as they upgrade.
Just click on the building, and activate in the popup window the option "Historical Building" and it will eventually level up to Level 3 without changing its appearance.

a.m.a.z.i.n.g. detail, dude! I haven't used it in-game (yet) but, after admiring the interiors, I was really surprised it's less than 10mb. Please don't let the randoms affect your enjoyment of your time with CS! Like you say, the RICO mod is a thing for those of us who care and want to fiddle with it! :steamhappy:

@Dan Fielding I play the game too, I must have come across a million assets where I wish it was L1, L2, L3 or it should have been an office or whatever. I just learn to live with it, and I adjust my gameplay. There is a mod for this. It's called RICO. You can change everything to whatever the f uck you want.I don't go to the asset creator and said oh this is stupid you should have made it the way I want.

@Dan Fielding I just find it absurd that you think an asset creator should tweak his assets to suit the way YOU play the game. So what if someone has a city where the land value is kind of low a lot of tiles don't hit L2? What if someone has a super well-serviced city and everything goes to L3 in an instant (and like you somehow "don't have time to mark as historical"?). What if people don't grow but plop buildings? I know a lot of people do that. It's 2022, not 2015. No, no, no, you should change all your assets to L2 because that's best for MY CITY. THAT'S HOW I PLAY THIS GAME. If I did anything "stupid," it's to make assets for people like you for free and instead of "thanks," you just get all these "come on" and "this is stupid" and you should have done this you should have done that The sheer sense of entitlement and the assumption that everyone wants the same thing as you is why the world is on fire right now.

Dude seriously just make your buildings level 2 noncommercial. This is stupid. You're creatings are amazing but lv 1 grows so fast you don't even have time to mark as historical, come on.

You have done some fantastic work; appreciate the vibrancy you've brought to my cities (especially the LA assets, since I see them around)

I LOVE that you detail the interiors. Sometimes I just wander around inside.
