anyway, back on the meth... say you find one of your crew members passed out in shoulder deep water, and the only O2 source is your dive suit. you could be a hero and put your suit on them but you'll die, maybe even fail to save them...
in a time of crisis, there's nothing wrong with banging meth, each hit can give up to 90 seconds of O2. it's easy to see how that helps with one person. if the entire crew is unconscious (again), it's not the worst idea to stabilize everyone with meth so you can come up with some kind of plan and not run around saving whoever you like more. if you have to drag them to safety, take some meth and you'll seriously haul ass.
oh yeah, don't forget the crippling addiction and failing organs.
syringe gun: - firing injectables from syringe gun no longer causes them to behave like the skill check failed; meds now have the same results when injected directly and when shot from syringe gun.
chloral hydrate - knocks people out for maximum of 5 seconds (if the skill check passes) regardless of using the syringe gun or injecting directly.
methamphetamine - when you have a suffocating crew member, this can easily make the difference between experiencing overwhelming satisfaction as you watch your fully recovered patient gratefully returning to work or falling into a bottomless pit of despair as you helplessly watch your patient's skin slowly turn a deep blue then discreetly dumping their body in a ballast tank and planting enough evidence to make sure you remain above reproach while the newly
hired assistant takes your place in front of the firing squad...
