Versus Restored

Versus Restored is a mod that aims to bring as many Versus gamemodes from Fusion back to Sam 4!
This was quite a hassle, since Sam 4 comes without a lot of the VS groundwork that was in Fusion. Many aspects had to be completely rescripted if I wanted to ensure that the mod doesn't replace any official Croteam files, and works properly with other mods. Things like the entirety of My Burden, the Multiplayer Announcer, Serious Damage marker, just to name a few are all scripted from scratch. Kinda hacky but alas they work!

The gamemodes that are currently in the pack are:

• Last Man Standing
  
• Team Deathmatch
  
• Capture The Flag
  
• One Flag CTF

I plan to bring over more gamemodes with time, but I'm being kind of limited with what Serious Engine exposes to scripters about VS. Thanks to that, the team announcer in team based VS gamemodes doesn't function, as there's no way for me to reliably get the team of a player without a lot of trickery.

The mod also comes with some sample maps:

Note: If you want to make your map My Burden compatible, since I rewrote it completely, the way you place the burden entity is a bit different. Instead of the Generic Score Feeder entity, you need to place a path marker in the place of the burden, with a name of BurdenSpawnPos.
