Touchdowns are a distraction- SPP (EXP) is more important than scoring. You can lose 3-0 and still leave with far more levelled up players than the winner.

Space- Try to make sure your opponents have to move to hit your players. That way there limited to one hit due to one blitz action.

The dice hate you- The first rule of blood bowl is you do not roll the dice. The second rule of blood bowl is YOU DO NOT ROLL THE DICE. The essence of the game is making the moves you want with the fewest rolls possible. When you absolutely have to roll make sure it’s the most dice possible with as may skills to swing the odds your way as possible.

The dice hate your opponent too- Position all your players carefully at all times to be a pain in your opponents arse. Force them to roll the dice if they want to so much as breath. Placing your player next to an opponents limits there moves sure. BUT placing him a space away between the opponent and the ball carrier (which ever team has the ball) can reduce theirs and other players movement by 3. Unless they want to use up a blitz or make risky dodge rolls.

Think and scheme- to play you avoid risk. To win big you have to risk. Chose carefully when and where to risk.

Think- Blood bowl is basically chess on a craps table. ALWAYS think what happens when this goes wrong before you do anything. If your thinking about what happens when this goes right you’ve already lost.

Cheesy but true- It’s a game we play for fun. Try to enjoy your losses. Imagine how your player got killed ect. Even when you lose badly you will come away with an SPP or two. It can be great fun to play a battered team with a few players. Your injures can add character and story to your team. If you have to retire and start again why not its free after all.
