This is an unofficial fork of the inactive "Cinema" addon.
➡ Goal: Keep Cinema alive, stable, and working for everyone.

Supported services
➡ Out-of-the-box

Quick Setup Guide
➡ Windows
Works out-of-the-box.
For more services (YouTube Live, TikTok, Twitch, etc.) → use GModPatchTool / GModCEFCodecFix.
Setup Video ➡ Windows (x86-64 BETA is optional)

➡ Others
Requires x86-64 BETA branch + GModPatchTool / GModCEFCodecFix.
Setup Videos ➡ MacOS, Linux or Proton

Notes
  • Sandbox can be activated optionally, but is not supported by us.
  • Local videos cannot be played directly → upload them online first.
  • Government restrictions or VPN use may cause videos to fail.
  • Not compatible with the original addon by PixelTail Games. Please uninstall it first.

AND NO - "VIDEOS CANNOT BE PAUSED, NO MATTER HOW OFTEN YOU ASK". ALSO "NETFLIX OR DISNEY+ CANNOT BE ADDED EITHER"

Known Issues
  • Not all TikTok videos work.
  • YouTube may sometimes not play due to restrictions outside our control.
  • Links requested via chat are currently experiencing some bugs.
  • Some videos on Internet Archive must be pressed play before they can be requested.

When Sandbox is activated, only what has been done in the code is followed. This means that all predefined weapons are given.

If you want to prevent trolling, you have to use an add-on that restricts the Physgun. I will not be implementing anything like that in Cinema.

But I can solve the FOV problem for you.

It works, though it introduced one issue: Both camera FOV and viewmodel FOV is excessively zoomed until you switch weapons. I don't know if you can fix it, but you don't need to as I wanted to ask you one more thing: Is it possible to add a command that doesn't give any start weapons (Especially physics gun)? I believe that would prevent trolls from causing havoc by flinging everything around with physics guns.

@Willi, I tried to port the playermodel selector to Cinema. It can be accessed from the TAB/Scoreboard menu under options.

Thank you for the update. Also, it's not really necessary but, is there a way to make it so the gamemode supports skins and bodygroups? Because even if a skin or bodygroup is changed on a Playermodel, it just stays exactly the same no matter what options are picked in the bodygroup menu despite them working perfectly in Sandbox.

@w3irdp3rson, this isn't relevant to Mac, but as far as I know, this is a problem on the part of the Malaysian government, which is restricting internet access to Cloudflare. I've already made changes through an update and everything should be working now!

There may be a chance that you have already addressed this somewhere (hopefully this comment is helpful to someone else facing a similar problem), but I'm a mac user who has been using the gmod patch tool and am playing on the x-64 branch but I'm afraid that whenever I request for a youtube URL, nothing happens. Is this because I'm playing in single player or due to another issue I'm unaware of?

Cinema itself is not currently designed for this. It is feasible, but it would require changes to the code.
