This game store save files as a plain text so you can unlock anything you want: animals (including DLC ones), highscore, tokens for minigames and so on. I saw a couple of messages on forums about progress disappearing and decided to write this guide.

Default Save file location: C:\Users\{Your user name}\AppData\Local\RACE\save2.ini
To restore your progress start a new game to create a save file and open it with any text editor, then add nessesary rows to unlock animals.

stores data about unlocked animals and its highscore.
