How to Grind Points as Engineer in Team Fortress 2
由 MOR3GUN 制作
The easiest way possible to gain as many points as you can as Engineer. This is possible on any map, 2fort is recommended because of it's endless rounds. My record of points using this tactic is 223, simply because i was bored after a while.

Choosing Your Weapons
-Your Primary-

You should be using the Rescue Ranger as your Primary Weapon so you can repair your buildings from far away AND up close. The ability to transport buildings to your hand from anywhere at the cost of 100 metal is nice too... in very specific situations.

-Your Secondary

The Wrangler should be your secondary since it allows you to tank a large amount of damage from any source. Protection of your...well protection is VERY important since it will be your only source of attacking while you are point grinding. The Wrangler will make it so you can tank a ton of damage even with the jag if worst comes to worst and you need to stop point grinding because of an ubercharged Demoman, Heavy, Soldier....you get the point.

-Your Melee-

It is highly recommended that you make use of the Jag because of it's quicker swinging speed, allowing for quick setup. Although the Eureka Effect works fine as well since you can teleport back to spawn for metal, and then come right back with a teleport exit.

Now that you've got a loadout ready, let's talk about set up.
Setting Up Your Buildings
The map 2fort...as said before, is HIGHLY recommended for this point grinding system. The system requires the impossible...a friend, You must find an engineering buddy. After you've done that the rest is easy! For this part of the guide, I will be demonstrating with an engineer named Bob.

Assuming you've chosen 2fort, setup your buildings in the "classic" INTEL room. Your engineering buddy must setup all of their buildings in there as well. Upgrade them to level 3, ALL OF THEM. However, make sure both of you place your teleporter exit and entrance NEXT to each other (no this isn't a joke). Do not try to be "lethal" about were you place this specific building.

A good setup for this point grinding tactic will be shown below.

Grinding the Point System
-What YOU Need to do.

There is absolutely NOTHING hard about his part. Move over to your engineer buddy's teleporter and continuously go through it. Every 2 teleports from a teammate are equivalent to 1 point on the score board for the creator of the teleporter.

What the Other Engineer Needs to do.

As you may have guessed, the engineer buddy must be a cooperative one and should move over to your teleporter and continuously go through that teleporter as well. Obviously giving you the points on the score board you came to this guide for.

There is a video below demonstrating this tactic

Conclusion
You will end up with plenty of free points by the end of the round while you and your engineer buddy are doing this. However, if you are unable to keep your buildings up because of a pub-stomping team...or simply being put on a team that refuses to help you out in a time of need, (such as your sentries being the last hope of saving the enemy from getting the final capture) you will not find as much success in this tactic.

When you do end up being able to grind, Change things up at least a little bit...have fun doing it. If you could care less about the points and only want to occasionally go back with a buddy for some free points rather than grinding 24/7, you will still be able to get quite a few points that way as well. Just not as many...AND if you REAAAALLY don't care about points at all and never plan on doing this...why did you bother reading the guide in the first place?
