I normaly connect the start like this: Build 1 more medium cell, all medium+rest small to 1 transformer. That transformer goes to big battery bank that connect to base and to the crusher. 1 well to the single small solar cell. No real neeed for anything more.

Later in the game I connect 1 more transformer just beside the crusher (so it is battery drivven when I want to, and that connect to base, crusher and the well and a slot to charge the veical. and incoming is battery bank setup from b4 and a few small cells (since I build more big solar that goes to the big setup)
