Increased High Energy Catalyst Drop

CONFIRMED WORKING AS OF MARCH 2022 (ToA)

Increases the drop rate of the High Energy Catalyst mod ware.

This mod doesn't add new content and isn't flagged to lock a save.

The original catalyst drop rate was even with all other mod wares, in chance and amount (equal chance of 1:5, with 1-2 dropped). This mod increases the drop amount to 1-12. Other mod wares still drop with an equal chance in 1-2 per drop.

This mod was designed with the intent of relieving the High Energy Catalyst supply issues that come up when you start trying to mod out your fleet. Most ships have more than 1 weapon, unlike mods such as the chassis, shield, etc. Feel free to change the values as you see fit for your desired game play, or if you feel the balance is off.

No this doesn't work with 8.0. The drops, wares and crafting in general were changed.

Minor update to this. The changes to drops (the xenon panels and one other) caused a couple of this mod's lines to get dropped. Not every kill/drop was effected, but people may have noticed this mod wasn't working on certain lockboxes or K/I xenon drops... or probably didn't notice. I had to catch it in the debug log. :cybereye:

Simplified the code a bit so hopefully it won't happen again (or at least be less likely to).

Especially since the Xenon are starting to get a bit sparse end game. I have a 'xenon reserve' under Company Regard where I'm just letting them produce ships but I have a feeling the TER are going to just zerg them out eventually.

Thanks, this is definitely going to help ease the shortage. Another possibility might be to add a recipe for it, something with spacefuel, oxide, or crystalline. at least that way we have a way to balance out some of the other stuff.

Just released "Increased AGI Drops" mod. The intent was to make Xenon kills a little more rewarding as far as the AGI wares goes. The increase isn't enough that you'll find yourself drowning in them from the get go, but it should build up over time into a nice increase.
