So now that this joke is pretty old now, I feel at peace with finally giving it away. A while back I looked into what Petras cheese really is. I discovered something similar in Outer Wilds. Well I didn't discover it really, the speedrunning community did. I saw a video that Turkwinif (God I love Turkwinif) had made about this odd bug on Ember Twin.

A brief explanation of my understanding of Petra's Run Cheese: Basically there is this mission in Destiny 2 called Petra's Run Triumph. Petra's Cheese is just a way to basically skip any and all action throughout the entire mission. It requires two people. It involves a lot of clipping through doors and ceilings. According to the video I watched, it is very inefficient and barely saves any time. The similar bug in Outer Wilds, however, saves a whole lot of time on the Destroy SpaceTime category.

Now for how to do it in Outer Wilds: You first have to go on over to Ember Twin's north pole. Park your ship right up above a cave with two arches at the entrance. Go in the cave, and come back out. You no longer have collision with certain rocks. Take a right as soon as you get out of the cave and you'll phase into some rocks. Keep going until you see a v-shaped split. Jump into it and go down and there you have it. You are inside Ember Twin, but not in the way Daddy Beachum intended. This is useful (not anymore) for getting to the high energy early in the loop.

I felt like telling this "secret" because it's already been obsoleted by my favorite runner of all time. You know who you are. They somehow went even faster by ejecting the cockpit through Ember Twin's surface to get to the lab. A crisp 1m 34s. A whole 30s faster than the 2nd place runner. I am genuinely impressed and happy that the record was smashed. But tell me this, can you go even faster?
