Stuck: I can't make Winter Melon soup.
Hint #1: They're serving it tomorrow at the restaurant.

Hint #2: Check the menu to find out more.

Hint #3: The menu on the restaurant table. Then apply your new knowledge.

Hint #4: Use the symbols on the drawers at the back of the kitchen.

Hint #5: Combine winter melon with soup stock on the stove.
Stuck: I ran out of bobby pins.
General hint: Women all around the Beach have been forgetting their bobby pins.

Bobby pin #1
Hint 1: Luckily Christine has another one back home.
Hint 2:Open Christine's dresser drawer.

Bobby pin#2:
Hint 1:Singers have to do their own hair, on the road.
Hint 2:Open the old trunk in the nightclub dressing room.

Bobby pin#3:
Hint 1:Even the older women here have stylish hair.
Hint 2:Check the bed where she was resting.

Bobby pin#4:
Hint 1:Headdresses might be kept on with bobby pins.
Hint 2:Check the big makeup box at the Chinese Opera.

Bobby pin#5:
Hint 1:Bernadette probably has some she's forgotten about.
Hint 2:Open Bernadettes purse, in the cafe.
Hint 3:(She doesn't arrive at the cafe until late, so you may have to work on other objectives until she shows.)
Stuck: I can't get Mickey out of his office.
General Hint: He's pretty high-strung. You can panic him into fleeing.

Hint #1: He's got a lot of odd things in his office.

Hint #2: Examine everything he has there. It'll give Christine an idea.

Hint #3: Examine (but don't take) the gauze mask, cleaning supplies, and medical book. Then talk to Mickey.

Hint #4: The best part is, he's so compulsive that he'll keep falling for it, over and over!
Stuck: The combination doesn't work.
Hint #1: Mickey changes it every month, based on something in the club.

Hint #2: Mickey is also obsessed with one of his employees.

Hint #3: The combo is based on someone's measurements. Compare them to her.

Hint #4: Apply the combo to Goldie the Mermaid. Maybe she's changed recently?

Stuck: I'm trapped in my isolation ward in the hospital.
Hint #1: Pick the lock of your wardroom and sneak around the hospital.

Hint #2: A loose nail from your window could be useful.

Hint #3: Have you talked to Birdman? Your escape starts through his window.

Hint #4: Birdman loves birds and I think I saw a nest in the Alcatraz chapel.

Hint #5: Joe can hit the panic button in his wardroom to summon Mason. Joe can then be taken to the chapel.

Hint #6: Look to the very left of the chapel for something bird-related.

Hint #7: Give the egg to Birdman. Talk with him. What else does he want before he'll let you in?
Stuck: Birdman refuses to help.
Hint #1: Birdman requires something bird-related to give you any respect.

Hint #2: Something you need may be found in the chapel.

Hint #3: Birdman won't let you into his cell until you give him another item. You were tipped off about it in the Yard.

Hint #4: Birdman wrote a book that he was never allowed to see. Christine knows a good bookstore.

Hint #5: You're going to have to find someone to smuggle things back and forth between Joe and Christine.

Hint #6: Christine can blackmail someone with an item from Mickey's safe.

Hint #7: Make this blackmailed person take the bird book from San Francisco to Alcatraz.
Achievement: Cat Spin and Cat-astrophe averted
Cat Spin
Hint #1:Find a place that has both a cat and something that spins.
Hint #2:Christine has a collection of jazz records.
Hint #3:The cat sits randomly, so you may have to leave and come back until he's where you hope.
Hint #4:Eventually the cat will sit on the record player. Turn it on, and he spins!
Hint #5:Note that the cat has to sit first. Then you turn on the player. Not the other way 'round.

Cat-astrophe averted
Hint #1:Earn this if you find someone to take care of Christine's cat. Ask around!
Hint #2:You'll find someone at the wild Beat party, near the end of the game.
Hint #3:I think Bernadette the painter might like some company.
Achievement: Blown Away
Hint #1:This an achievement for Joe. He will have to be unfaithful to Christine.
Hint #2:He has to have sex with someone on Alcatraz.
Hint #3:It's not going to be with Mrs. Mason, despite what other cons may say.
Hint #4:Chiquita, in the laundry, is a very good friend of Joe.
Hint #5:Joe has to demonstrate his affection for Chiquita, and his feelings about marriage.
Hint #5:Joe's wedding ring would be a symbolic gesture.
Achievement: Dial M for Murder
Hint #1:There's a red phone in Mickey's office that he only uses in private.
Hint #2:It's a hotline to a lawyer for the Mob. Mickey phones in nightly reports.
Hint #3:Mickey's been embezzling. Find some proof.
Hint #4:You'll have to compare two things together to get the truth.
Hint #5:You'll need something from Mickey's safe.
Hint #5:Compare Mickey's secret account ledger with the "official" club ledger.
Hint #6:If the right people find out, Mickey's dead!
Achievement: Sisterhood
Hint #1:This is connected to the achievement "Dial M for Murder".
Hint #2:So these hints may have spoilers for that achievement...
Hint #3:First, you need get someone really mad at Mickey.
Hint #4:This involves using the phone in his office.
Hint #6:Right after you phone in the news, tell a female friend.
Hint #7:Whatever happens to Mickey, it's going to make the papers.
Hint #8:Bee, the club photographer, could really use the break.
Achievement: Sleeping with the Fishes
These hints are currently being tested.
Hint #1:You were probably too romantic to get this achievement.
Hint #2:Someone in the water has to literally join the fishes.
Hint #3:To justify a violent ending, you may have to ruin Joe and Christine's marriage at every opportunity. (This is being tested now.)
Hint #4:Joe has to lie to Christine at the start, and then have sex with someone on Alcatraz.
Hint #5:Christine has to have sex with someone in North Beach.
Hint #6:Christine has to hear from Detective Grassi that Joe had an affair. And then Christine has to NOT ask the woman in question about it.
Hint #7:Christine should now have the option to shoot Joe dead in the water. But it's still up to you.
Achievement: In Cold Blood
The hints for "In Cold Blood" are a work-in-progress. Players have reported different things...
Hint #1:Four men must die.
Hint #2:Outside of Alcatraz.
Hint #3:Christine has to arrange Mickey's death.
Hint #5:Christine has to kill -- or get everyone killed -- in her final confrontation.
Hint #6:That means Mickey (unless he was killed earlier), Chicago the Thug, and Detective Grassi.
Hint #7:Joe must die.
Hint #8:Christine may have to shoot Joe, not just watch him drown.
Hint #7:This achievement may or may not involve first achieving "Sleeping with the Fishes".
If that didn't work...
You may have to shank Bumpy and Hank in the mess hall at the beginning of the game.
"to shank" means to stab someone with a shiv.
Achievement: Four Star Prison
Hint #1:Joe needs to fix up everything possible in every location.
Hint #2:The chapel has several things to repair.
Hint #3:Don't forget about the projector.
Hint #1:The Doc doesn't want his operating room to look like a pigsty.
Hint #x:Convince the Doc that you can fix anything, and then do it.
Hint #2:You need to fix the hospital radiator.
Hint #3:You need to fix a sink. Possibly in the hosptial.
Hint #4:Repair a telephone. Maybe the one in the hospital.
Hint #5:Fix the gas tanks in the operating room.


Achievement: Sandman
Hint#1:You need to put someone to sleep.
Hint#2:Joe can do it.
Hint#3:It happens in the hospital.
Hint#4:How do they normally make people sleep in the operating room?
Hint#5:Gas the Doctor and make him sleep. He needs the rest.
Achievement: Hole in One
Hint#1:You won't be able to guess this one.
Hint#2:You have to say it right, the first time.
Hint#3:This happens in the Author's apartment.
Hint#4:It happens right after you touch an item there.
Hint#5:You need to know the correct password and say it before being asked.
Hint#6:Don't say any of the false passphrases.

Hi.
I'm stuck on trying to get Mickey out of his office.
I know what I need to do but I can't get Christine to exam the items.
She just says the same thing over and over again.
The bed - she just mentions crumbs.
The surgical mask she says no thanks and so on.
Help me please. :)

I follow all the instructions but I cant get Mickey out of his office. What is wroooooong god????

I had Joe tell the truth and Christine ask Bee about the affair, and still got the shoot option. Maybe only the Dale/Chiquita parts count, plus 1-2 other "bad" choices (like telling Mickey you don't care if he shoots Joe). But not all of them are required.

You only need to fix the radiator, phone, & anesthesia tank in the hospital. The other repairs are part of the plot, since you need the final magazine from Mason's house to complete the vest.

@pyrowolf84: Appeal to Grassi's honor to get him to aim at Chicago, then kick the trash can.

@j.beard and @SP1TFIRE: You need to stab all 3 guys in the cafeteria. It resets each time you get shot, but they count for the achievement.

@SuPeeR-MaRiO: 8-ft from the laundry, 8-ft from Hank, 8-ft from Birdman's bed (should count as 24, but says 16), and 8-ft from the towel in the last corridor room. Once combined it'll show correctly as 32-ft.

Dude, I only end up with 16 ft of rope at the point of meeting with birdman???WTF??? I dont know what to do?

At last I achieved "In cold blood". To get this one, I killed everyone in the game, include Bumpy and Hank. Maybe the number of victims is considered on both sides by 4 (Joe - Hank, Gaz Pipe, Bumpy and Mason, and Christine - Mickey, Chicago, Grassi and Joe). So I think, that the description of the achievement is right.

Наконец-то я получил достижение "Пощады не будет". Для этого необходимо было убить абсолютно всех персонажей в игре, включая Бампи и Хэнка. Возможно, жертвы считаются по 4 с обеих сторон (Джо - Хэнк, Газопровод, Бампи и Мейсон и Кристин - Микки, Чикаго, Грасси и Джо). Поэтому, полагаю, что описание данного достижение верно.

In cold blood: if you stab either Hank or Bumpyat the Mess Hallyou get yourself killed :/ So I don't see how to achieve this one...

I was wondering about 2 for 1 achievement. I will probably play through again so I can get all the achievements I missed, this is one I cant think of any subject hints.
