Costs will vary slightly depending on the amount of surface materials you use. You may also have income from selling existing bushes that could bring the cost down.

Mow the grass. Sell any existing small bushes to add to your spending money.

To get full stars for layout divide the yard into sections and place items evenly throughout the yard.

You always need a lot of edible plants to get full stars for a crop garden but a few flowerbed and deciduous plants are OK. And more fun too.

For equipment, this garden has purchases from Decorations, Surfaces, Furniture, Animals, Lights, Structures and Other categories with no purchases from Kids, Pools, Recreational or Fence categories.

Most purchases are low cost items with different varieties for repeated plants. Surface materials were used sparingly. The scarecrows were expensive but I could not resist.
