History of the rock band
In 1983, four young men from Galveston, Texas, with their hit songs and wide support from loyal fans, became the most popular band in America. It was called Love Supply, they were disgusting, and on a fateful day in 1983, at a concert during the opening act of "Midnight Riders", they were beaten on stage so badly that they instantly became famous.

The Midnight Riders decided to spend the next two years working on their first album, enjoying a little time away from the limelight and serving eight to ten years for aggravated assault at the federal Correctional Facility in Fort Worth. Fortunately for the Horsemen fans, they didn't accidentally kill anyone from Love Supply, and due to overcrowding in the prison, all the non-murderers were released in January 1985. Three months later, the band released the album We're Coming For You, Love Supply, after which Love Supply left the scene, and the mantle of the greatest Southern rock supergroup of all time passed to them.

That same year, on October 3, bassist Riggs Donner was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident while driving without a helmet to his favorite local strip club, The Sugar Bares, somehow damaging all parts of his skeleton except his skull, and was temporarily replaced by Jake Thorne.

In 1987, the Midnight Riders were asked to participate in a children's charity album with other rockers, but they refused.

In 1989, the love ballad "This Man Loves You" (actually dedicated to his deceased father), written and performed on piano by temporary band member Jake Thorne, was released as the B-side to the single "Midnight Ride" from the album Born Yesterday. This song became the band's first hit. To this day, the band refuses to play the song live.

In 1993, "Midnight Riders" finally received the long-awaited recognition of the music industry, receiving a Grammy for the large number of pyrotechnics used at one concert. Dusty told Guitar God magazine the reason why the band did not participate in a children's charity album in 1987, explaining that charity for children makes them weak

In 1998, the Midnight Riders reluctantly agreed to participate in a Christmas album in exchange for not performing 30,000 hours of community service. The song "All I Want for Christmas (is to Kick Your Ass)" was written, recorded and mailed in less than an hour.

The Midnight Riders are currently on their way on their No Salvation tour to promote their newly released greatest hits album High Heels and Brushed Steel. In Waynesboro, Oklahoma, dusty hit the journalist with a knife between the ribs, when asked why he loves cancer. But the journalist was able to recover thanks to the winner of the contest of the website "Midnight Riders" Dwayne Thompson, who donated his lung in exchange for a full discography of the band with an autograph. In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the band replaced Jake with Riggs Donner's son, Ted, to mark the 24th anniversary of his father's death.

The last act of the Midnight Riders was the decision not to cancel their concert at Rustling Oaks, despite the virus. But when the park was taken over, they were forced to evacuate.
Interesting facts
  1. In rare cases, at the end of the first chapter of the "Transition" campaign, you can see a passing tour bus of the group.

  2. Midnight Rider is the name of someone who visits an amusement park late at night.

  3. The name "Midnight Riders" may have been inspired by the song "Midnight Rider", a southern rock hit by the Allman Brothers.

  4. One line of the song "One Bad Man" reads: "I'm a half-ton son-of-a-gun with a suitcase full of pistols and money". - "I'm half ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ a son with a suitcase full of guns and money"). In the "Transition" campaign, there is a room in one of the buildings that contains an open suitcase with guns and dollar bills. This is probably a reference to the song. And if a Coach passes next to the suitcase, he will sing: "... a suitcase full of guns and money!".

  5. Before the start of a concert at the Grim Carnival, the Coach may notice (or be told by Nick or Ellis) that the Midnight Riders use a phonogram at concerts. At the beginning of the "Market Square" chapter, the Coach declares that he still loves the band. But when it turns out that they are using a phonogram, he apparently loses sympathy for them.

  6. In Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, a band called Midnight Raiders was supposed to perform at the Still Creek Movie Theater, which is probably a reference to the band from Left 4 Dead 2.

  7. At the beginning of the song "Midnight Rider", played on the jukebox, you can hear four beats of drumsticks. But at the concert, the phrase "One, two, three, four!"is used instead.

  8. On October 2, 2010, an entry was posted on the official L4D blog, in which the developers asked players if they had ever played one of the two songs of the band available in Rock Band. In the next blog, it turned out that 38% of respondents voted in favor.

  9. In fact, the band's music was written by Valve composer Mike Moraski, a former member of the rock band Steel Pole Bath Tub. Moraski himself played guitar, keyboards and bass, singer Greg Dale provided vocals, and percussionist Jason Roeder served as drummer.
