The Activity 4 spike thing is real. BUT. You must read the data carefully. It needs to go UP 4 exactly in one go, then DOWN 4 exactly in one go without flatlining That period can be broken with other spikes, too.
Example:
Activity 2 (+2 EMF3 event starts), Then Activity 6 (+4 EMF5 event starts), Then Activity 4 (-2 EMF3 event ends), Then Activity 0 (-4 EMF5 event ends).
HOWEVER!
The ghost CAN trigger 2 events at exactly the same time, and they can end at the same time. If those 2 events happen to add up to Activity 4, you can get a false positive.
What I usually do is get someone to go into the house and call the ghost's name (from somewhere safe is fine if it's in hunt range, all you're trying to do is get it to interact with stuff) If you get more than one solid +4 with accompanying -4's it's an EMF 5 ghost.
EMF level 5 has a 25% chance of happened for any action a ghost does, but only if its level 5 evidence. EMF 4 is manifesting, EMF 3 is throwing objects and EMF 2 is interacting (Turning on/off lights, writing in a book ETC ETC)
The Board has a chance of spawning on ANY map, ANY ghost and asking ANY wrong question will lower your sanity.
The thermometer temperature can be effected by the size of the room/item you are looking at. Looking at something metal has a lower temp then the room itself. The Gym in Highschool always reads as cold. If the temp suddenly plummets to below 5, you are looking at the ghost with the Thermometer. The ghost is ALWAYS cold to look at.
The UV trick is also semi-false. The UV fingerprints are also visible without the light or wasting a photo, and not all ghosts leave a fingerprint.
