In this guide I'll show you how to use Jean's RDO interactive map (which also applies to RDR2), which has all locations of the game's plants, animals and fishes.

To open the map, click here[jeanropke.github.io]. I suggest you to open it in-game using the Steam's overlay (pressing SHIFT+TAB).

To search for a specific thing, open the menu, click on top-left corner arrow, browse to the category and click on it to expand, after that, just click on the animal's/fish's/plant's name.

Let's say we're looking for Cougars and Alaskan Ginseng. First, make sure that the Plants or Animals sections aren't streaked because you won't be able to select or see the locations. Click on Plants and search for Alaskan Ginseng and click on it, it should be displaying its location on the map. After that, click on Animals and do the same procedure.

With all other locations disabled, your map should be looking like this:
