UPDATE (22/11/2020) : (Commets/Feedback Update)

01. It's literary a BROKEN ACHIEVEMENT, you can probably get it just for being an idiot / or a nice person as you may already have been.

02. Apparently you can get this from any map or mode (means any campaign or survival or whatever) and just need to wait until it to trigger. You cannot get the achievement if your character is dead on arrival. Meaning you MUST join a game and start playing to trigger.

03. Loading from console works as well (means doesn't need to be SP or MP).

03. You can easily get this achievement.. that's it... but if you missed for the day (20th November) i don't know if it's still work in the next day. Achievement is not a day based one and can be obtained at any day (at the moment)


Information :
Launch the game after the update and

1. Go singleplayer
2. Select "Dark Carnival" Campaign
3. Select "FairGrounds" Chapter
4, Wait in safe room to trigger.

Achievement Information :
Left 4 Dead 2 has now received an appropriately small update that adds an "Honorary achievement for Gnome Chompski's upcoming journey into space on Rocket Lab's "Return To Sender" mission." Chompski appears several times in Left 4 Dead 2, both in-the-clay so to speak and on posters, and again there's an achievement ('Guardin' Gnome') involving carrying it an unfeasibly long way to a rescue chopper.

The new achievement is called Gnome Alone, and the text is "If you are reading this achievement, Gabe Newell has successfully launched Gnome Chompski into space." It is of course yet to activate.

You can check Rocket Lab's website for updates on when the gnome will launch, and at the time of writing it's saying blast-off will be "no earlier than November 20."
