This guide's purpose is to give information to new players or even help out some older ones. This guide will go over, the stats of each character, ideas and tricks to do with them, and help someone learn the specifics of items and hazards.
Info is from the DD fandom wiki pages, my experiences, and info from other players I have learned from which I have credited in the "Special Thanks" area.

Dark Deception Wiki : https://dark-deception-game.fandom.com/wiki/Dark_Deception_Wiki

Leave a comment if you learned anything at all even if it is minor or major and leave a thumbs up if you found this useful. Glad I could help and I plan to keep this guide up to date as the game updates.

Disclaimer
This guide goes over what it says in the title. Be sure to check the tutorial and settings. In those places you can see what they each do, and you can change your keybindings.

Because DD:M&M is a game that will receive updates and patches I would subscribe to the comment section so you get notified when I add or change info from the guide. I comment what I change btw. If you notice the guide is updated and I left no comment it is spelling and grammar fixes that I noticed. I also leave comments when a new update is out for the game like when a DLC drops or if there are some undocumented changes that they did. If I do not make a post if the game gets an update it is most likely just bug fixes unless a bug fix is significant.

All estimates of time such as how long an item lasts are based on the in game timer and not real life seconds.

With that out of the way, let's start with the stats of each character starting with the Mortals.
Mortal stats
Every character in the game has the same stats like other characters in their category. Most of the time. For example, every balanced mortal has the same HP, speed, damage output, etc as the others in that class type.
The stats will be based off of their default stats (no items that boost their dmg output or speed)
This is for the base game mortals, no DLC characters as they have their own area if you want to check them out.

It is highly recommended you read this and the Monster section before reading the DLC stats so you understand things like abilities, cooldown, movement, etc.

Balanced mortals - Doug Houser, Detective Evans, Nikson

Type
Stat
Hp
180
Light dmg/Heavy dmg
15/30
Speed
Average
Attack cooldown
Average (You can do two Light attacks and wait about 2 seconds before you can do it again)

If you use them, they are average at getting shards and fighting against other players.

They have no upsides or downsides save for their different ultimate abilities which I will get into later. When they are killed in Maze Escape the mortals lose 25 shards if any of these 3 are killed. So while they do not cost the team too much try not to die as they can easily add up. I recommend Balanced characters as a way to start learning the game.

Speed Mortal - PenPen

Type
Stats
Hp
140 (Lowest HP for mortals and of all characters)
Light dmg/ Heavy dmg
8/16
Speed
Fast (Fastest character in game with other Speed types)
Attack cooldown
Little to none, you can do light attacks with little to no cooldown in between. Her heavy attack however, has a cooldown that is average like the balanced type

She is so fast that every monster will have to use items or ambush you to even hurt you. She is great for getting away from all monster types and easily gets shards quickly if left alone.

However, because she is very fast if killed she will cost the mortals to lose 42 shards and has the lowest HP of all mortals currently. She is high risk high reward so only play her if you plan on NOT fighting and keeping an item on you for safety.

Upside is her speed and little to no attack cooldown, her downsides is her low HP, great blow to mortals on Maze Escape if she is killed. and she does the least amount of damage of all characters in the game.

Power Mortal - Glowstick Vince

Type
Stats
Hp
240 (Highest HP for mortals)
Light dmg/Heavy dmg
25/50 (Most damage for mortals)
Speed
Slow (Slowest character in the game)
Attack cooldown
Great (Make your choice of attack count since light attacks have a bigger cooldown and even more for the heavy attack)

If you use Glowstick Vince you have a character that is the slowest of the current mortals but you are a power house that can make nearly every monster type (except power) have to bring an item or use their ultimates to take you down. You are dangerous to approach but easy to catch up to.

Upsides is that you do the most damage and have the most HP out of the current mortals and if killed you cost the team in Maze Escape 15 shards (the lowest the team can lose) but, your downsides is you are the slowest one so you are not gonna just do a hit and run, you are going to have to fight your way out of situations or use items. Pick Vince if you want the monster to stay away from you or take caution when approaching you.

Support Mortal - Bierce

Type
Stats
Hp
200
Light dmg/ Heavy dmg
10/20
Speed
More than average (Slower than Speed type, faster than Balanced type so right in the middle)
Attack cooldown
Less than average (Faster than Balanced types, slower than Speed types)

SPECIAL - If you use her heavy attack (right click) you can heal your teammates on hit for 5 hp and it isn't class specific, no matter who you hit it they'll always receive 5 Hp. Every Support Mortal is capable of this and this will not be repeated for any Support Mortals added in DLCs.

If you decide to choose Bierce she is right in the middle of Speed and Balance classes. She is more than average at getting shards, she has more hp and speed than the balanced classes so you'll live longer and take another hit or two before dying. If you die in Maze Escape the team loses 35 shards.

Upsides is that you have the 2nd most HP and speed of mortals and is the only one who can heal mortals at any time but, your downside is that if you are killed you cost the team the 2nd most shards they can lose & you can only heal teammates if you get near them and hit them (not counting her ultimate ability).
Monster stats
Keep in mind that balanced monsters are faster than balanced mortals. So just because it says Average doesn't mean the speed is 1:1 as a mortal of the same class. This is for balance reasons for Maze Escape. The only exception to this is Speed class. Speed types have the exact same speed. Otherwise the same type when comparing mortals to monsters, the monsters always barely outrun the mortal counterpart.
This is for the base game monsters, no DLC characters as they have their own area if you want to check them out.

Balanced Monsters - Murder Monkey, Dread Ducky, Clown Gremlin, Lucky

Type
Stats
Hp
240
Light dmg/ Heavy dmg
30/60
Speed
Average (Faster than all mortals except Speed and Support)
Attack cooldown
Average

These monsters do an average job of chasing down mortals and other monsters in the gamemodes and do average damage. These are great for reliability but differentiate from their Ultimate abilities.
However, Dread Ducky's light attack and Clown Gremlin's heavy attack have more range to them than their other attacks. Murder Monkey's light attacks have a smaller cooldown than the other Balanced Monsters, letting it attack a lot more often.
These monsters have no upsides nor downsides with the exception of the underlined above. So it depends more on the player's choice of their attacks and Ultimate Abilities that I will talk about later.

Speed Monsters - Agatha, Reaper Nurse

Type
Stats
Hp
200 (Lowest hp of all monsters)
Light dmg/ Heavy dmg
18/36
Speed
Fast (can outrun every mortal except Speed types, they're the same speed and the fastest characters)
Attack Cooldown
Little to none for light attacks (Similar if not 1:1 to Speed Mortal's) but, heavy attacks have an average cooldown like the balanced type

They're great for collecting shards and catching up to mortals but, is very weak so they shouldn't take part in fights against Power classes unless they have an item to help out. Very useful in Shard Mayhem because they can just run away from the other monsters unless they use an item or if they are also a speed type.

However, Reaper Nurse's heavy attack has a bit more range than her light attack unlike Agatha.

Upsides is their very fast speed and little to no cooldown on attacks but, the downside is that they have the lowest Hp of all the monsters in the game currently so it can be very easy to kill if the mortal or monster is good at the game or has an item to assist them.

Power Monsters - Gold Watcher, Malak, Hangry

Type
Stats
Hp
360
Light dmg/ Heavy dmg
40/80 (Most damage of all characters currently)
Speed
Slow (2nd Slowest in the game, can only outrun Power mortals)
Attack cooldown
Big gap. Just like with Power Mortals use your attacks wisely as there're big gaps in between both types and the light attacks gap is smaller than the heavy attack

These characters are powerful in fights and can 3 shot most mortals to kill them if they stick with heavy attacks. 2 if they use a specific item which I will go into in the next section. It is best for these characters to have a speed boost item or some other item to assist them in catching mortals since they are the slowest monsters. If you play as these characters fights are way more in your favor because of your hp and dmg. Players are more likely to only attack you if they have an item or are the same class as ya. Speed characters will be difficult to get because of their speed.

Upsides are that you do the most damage and have the 2nd most hp, but the downside is that you are the 2nd slowest characters in the game so use items to stun or slow down foes or boost your speed or dmg output to ensure you get the kill.

Ranged Monster - Penny

Type
Stats
Hp
400 (Highest hp of ALL characters currently)
Light dmg/ Heavy dmg/ Egg projectile
10/21/25
Speed
Slightly more than Average (Faster than all characters except Speed and Support Monsters)
Attack cooldown
Slightly more than Average

Penny is weak in fights because of her damage. She does however have a ton of Hp that will make it hard to kill her unless you are a Power type or have an ultimate ability ready to shred her. Her heavy attack has a lot of range and has the most range in the game for playable characters. Making it good to snipe players without putting yourself at risk and can lead to a ton of damage if they try and chase after you. It will also go in the exact direction you fire at so be sure to aim it correctly. Doing a Heavy attack will deal more damage if you hit a player within a very close melee range (so her hand & the egg hit the player for a total of 46 dmg)

Her eggs also don't hurt clones from U.A.'s, bananas, and other NPCs like living trap time events. It will break if it collides with another egg and Phantom Malak (refer to item specifics (Pt.1))

Upsides are that you do the have the most hp and the 3rd fastest Monster, but the downside is that you do the lowest damage of all Monsters the game so use items to stun or slow down foes or boost your speed or dmg output to ensure you get the kill.
Item specifics (Pt.1)
This section will go over the specifics of items and what they do. There is also a tutorial area in the game btw if you need a quick summarization of what the item does. This is for how long they last, how they work, and if there is anything that they do not work on.

If you do not know where it is at, check the extras in game and click tutorial.

Some items are self explanatory and can be used immediately or saved for their moments. I will go over where and when to use items here and even in "Tips and Tricks".

There are 2 types of soul shard items. Soul Shard and Soul Bundle.

The one on the left is Soul Shard and when used you get 10 soul shards. If used by a monster in Maze Escape however, the mortals lose 10 shards from the total.

The one on the right is Soul Bundle and it gives you 25 soul shards when used. If used by a monster in Maze Escape however, the mortals lose 25 shards from the total.

The next one applies to both the item and the trap time event in Monkey Business.

Banana Peel.
If you see a banana you can destroy them in 1 or 2 hits. The attack type does matter as it takes two light attacks (left click) to destroy them. Heavy attacks (right click) can take them out in one hit to get rid of them. Most people know this already, however some do NOT know this so it's here to hopefully help them out. If you walk into it you will be stunned for 2 seconds.

Speed Boost.
You already know what this does, some people might not notice a small detail. If you use this you are IMMUNE to all banana's so feel free to run over them. They will not stun you unless the item wears off. This lasts for 4 seconds.

Med Kit.
This item heals you. The less health you have the more likely you'll receive this item from a portal box. HP gained back depends on what class and character type you are. Thanks to Mr.Mister for this information. Thanks to Gift Card, RyGuy LV, and lion_keeper as well for telling me how this item works specifically : The medkit will heal you for 30% of your characters max Hp. Here is the table for the numbers below. So you can potentially use this strategically in fights to know when you should use it so you can get the most use of it.

Balanced

Telepathy
This lasts for 4 seconds and reveals all foes on the gamemode. Can be found by anyone in Shard Mayhem and Maze Escape. In Soul Collection only the mortals can get it as the monsters can see them through walls. It will show Monsters in a red fog while Mortals will be in a purple fog. It also let's you see players who are using Vanish. Speaking of which...

Vanish
This is best used so your foes cannot see you. Using this in Soul Collection makes it so the monster cannot see your outline through walls or the mini map until it wears off or they use Telepathy. However, you are not 100% undetectable. If you attack or playing as a character with distinct footsteps you still make noises so a foe who is listening can figure out where you are. It's best used to get away or sneak up on someone so do not attack until close enough or grab any shards as they can see them disappear on the map and in their view. This lasts for 8 seconds.
Vanish does not work on bosses, clown gremlin clones, Robbie clones if you're marked as their target, nor Phantom Malak. They can still see you and attack you.

In short, If it isn't a human player they can still see you.

Frenzy Mode
This item will make you powerful, you'll deal more damage and have a shorter cooldown between both attack types. It does effect some Ultimate abilities. It boosts your damage done by 20% and will last for 8 seconds. This can be earned by anyone on Shard Mayhem, and only by Monsters in Maze Escape and Soul Collection. Power Monsters will greatly benefit from this if they can close the gap.
Thanks to Typervader for getting into contact with Nikson regarding this

Phantom Malak

This item can be found by anyone in Shard Mayhem and can only be earned by the monster in Maze Escape & Soul Collection. When used it spawns Phantom Malak near an enemy and focuses on that enemy until they are dead, and then he will focus on another one. He lasts on the map for 45 seconds. When close enough to the target he will deal 50 damage.

Currently, only 1 type can barely outrun P.M. on their own with no items. They're the speed types. You can walk through Phantom Malak if he gets too close to ya if you need to try and delay the attacks a bit longer. Support types are slightly slower than P.M. so cut corners and use items to avoid him. For everyone else, use items and your ultimate abilities to get away or last longer.

This is the rarest item you can get. You can expect at least 0 or 1 of these a match. Maybe 2 if the Monster gets lucky or unlucky.

Hand of Fate
This item lasts for 10 seconds on all foes. This can be earned by anyone on Shard Mayhem, and only by Monsters in Maze Escape and Soul Collection. When used all foes in the respective gamemode will not be able to grab an item for 10 seconds AND if they are using one like vanish, speed, Frenzy Mode, etc it will automatically end it. If you save this item it can greatly help out if someone uses speed boost or the invincibility shield.

Invincibility shield.
This will last for 8 seconds and you will take 0 damage from any and all sources. Attacks, traps, bosses, ultimate's, anything that deals damage to you is gone. I highly suggest you save this item for escapes or fights. The only way this won't work is if someone gets the hand of fate item. Remember that you are not immune to stuns or slows. Don't waste this because you fell for the banana or you got slowed and your target is running away.
Item Specifics (Pt.2)

Soul Corruption
This will last on all foes on the gamemode type for 5 seconds. In Shard Mayhem anyone can find this item but, in Maze Escape and Soul Collection only monsters can find this. When used all foes will have their movement keys and camera controls reversed. If you move your camera to look right you'll look left instead, if you walk forward you'll instead walk backwards. This can be timed on some maps or situations to screw with your foes so they get nervous and makes mistakes while you or the bosses catch up, or they don't get off or away from the trap in time to escape death or damage.

Speed Drain
When used all foes in whichever gamemode you are on will have their movement speed cut in half for 5 seconds. Very useful to slow down shard gain and escape plans. Power types become slow as a snail and speed types will move as if they were a power type. This can be deadly when used on bosses such as Chef Monkeys or Doom Ducky and even traps. This can be earned by anyone on Shard Mayhem, and only by Monsters in Maze Escape and Soul Collection.

Primal Fear
This can be a game changing item if used at the right time to get a kill. This item does a radius of effect around the user and will stun all foes for 4 seconds. This also ignores walls and height. So if you're close enough and your target is through a wall or higher or lower than you this will still stun them. You will use this item for either getting a kill, getting free dmg on a target to shift the fight more in your favor, or to run from a foe. This can be earned by anyone on Shard Mayhem, and only by Monsters in Maze Escape and Soul Collection. if you're on the receiving end of this try and use an item or even an ultimate ability (if applicable) to reduce damage or take none at all.

Ultimate Drain
When used this will instantly reduce all foes ultimate ability meters by 25% and if they're full they will still go back 25% and cannot be used. This item is mostly used instantly when found, however if you're having trouble or have bad luck with foes using their Ultimate Ability over and over you can choose to save the item and when you see an enemy use it so they cannot use their ultimate which gives you the chance to use yours, run away, or engage in a fight. This can be earned by anyone on Shard Mayhem, and only by Monsters in Maze Escape and Soul Collection.

U-fuel
This is the opposite of Ultimate Drain. When used your ultimate ability will gain charge. Reducing the time left by 30 seconds. This is mostly used instantly when found. However you can save it so when you use your ultimate and it ends you can use this to get a head start on the next one.

Ultimate drain takes away charge from all foes while U-fuel gives you some charge.

Speaking of ultimate abilities.....
Mortal Ultimate ability stats! (base game)
You should know what each one does. This is so you know the specifics of some of them. This section is for the base game character ultimate abilities. Most of these can be cancelled if they run into a banana or get stunned. I will put a * symbol if they cannot be cancelled.
If you're looking for stats of a DLC character check the DLC sections out for what you need.
Each U.A. has a different amount of time for charging. When playing try and keep a mental note of how long it takes so you can better plan ahead.

Escape Plan
This Ultimate is self-explanatory in its name. A little detail that most tend to forget is that where you end up on the map after using this is entirely random. Keep it for emergencies so you do not waste it or accidentally put yourself in a bad position. If you use this when the portal is opened in Maze Escape you can escape without even going near the portal. Thanks to TyperVader for getting this info from Nikson.

Freeze Flash *
The specific of this ultimate is that the stunned foes are stunned for 5 seconds
The range is big, about half a hallway on Monkey Business (average hallway)
In Soul Collection you'll likely be killed by him unless you use an item before the stun or you're a power mortal who got lucky. Unless he gets help from teammates or you're low on health do not worry about an Evans killing you if you're a monster and you get flashed.

Shard Hack
2 seconds after activation, Nikson will steal soul shards that are nearby him in the maze in a 20 meter radius. The most he can nab is 30 soul shards. So try and use it when you are surrounded by them. Rooms such as the middle of Stranger Sewers or in the middle of a maze. Just try and be surrounded by a lot of soul shards since the range is pretty big. It can even nab shards on other floors on some maps as long as they're in the radius you'll nab them. As long as the other floors are pretty close like the ones on Monstrum Madness. Crazy Carnevil will not work due to the space between floors.

Shooting Star
This ultimate should be used for the speed boost to get shards or if you need to get away. The stun effect lasts for 2 seconds and can be reapplied over and over until the ultimate is over with. This lasts for 10 seconds. So use it wisely to run or stun & finish off a very low monster. Keep in mind the speed will decay over time so try and use it at the right moment to make the most use out of the speed.

You'll See!
This lasts for 15 seconds. You reflect 125% of damage taken to the attacker. Clown Gremlin & Robbie clone damage, the Brute's fire damage, and Phantom Malak's damage will be fired back at whoever summoned them.
You are immune to damage from bosses, traps, and Phantom Malak.
Damage from players is also halfed. So if you normally take 100, instead you'll take 50. Very useful against those who use ultimate abilities to hurt you. Except those that stun or don't do any damage.
for example, 100 dmg attack hits Vince, Vince loses 50 Hp, the attacker loses 125 Hp.

Helping Hand
This is a heal over time (10 seconds). Bierce is healed for 20 hp every second and will fully heal herself. Her teammates are healed 25% of their max hp instead overtime. If she uses this the other Support Mortals won't get any healing at all. This doesn't heal your mortal foes in Soul Collection either.

So I did some math to figure out how much regen each mortal gets when Bierce uses her Ultimate.
Type

Monster Ultimate ability stats! (base game)

Slicer Dicer
Each slice does 50 damage, maximum damage is 1,600. Lasts for 10 seconds and can outrun all enemies except PenPen if she uses her ultimate ability.

Ducky Surprise
For each bite it does 18 damage, if done entirely with no interruptions it does a max of 234 damage. If the target survive this, they will be stunned for 2 seconds. Giving you the chance to attack or run.

Clown Patrol *
This ability lasts for 30 seconds. However the specifics are that the clones die in 3 light hits or 2 heavy hits. So depending on who you are choose your attack type wisely.
Each clone does 30 dmg when they hit you. They chase after someone based on proximity not line of sight. So if one is on the other side of a wall they'll go around to get to you. This ultimate will NOT keep charging when used. It will start charging again when the 30 seconds are up.

Bunny Barrage
This ability grants Lucky a speed boost for 5 seconds. If he runs into an enemy he will do a barrage of punches like in the original game, each dealing 8 damage adding up to 96 damage and even does 10% max hp dmg as well. Average huh? However...if the target is still alive they will be stunned for 2 seconds and be given the Fear status effect, making them deal 70% less damage AND a 50% slower attack speed for 3 seconds (since the 10 seconds is spent being barraged and stunned). This fear also boosts Lucky's light and heavy attacks as well to deal more damage. Be sure to use that stun time to use a heavy attack for more damage! You can also use it to run away to get shards or avoid a fight.

Hello Friend! *
The specifics is the damage it does. When used it will always do 80 damage unless the opponent is using an item, or if Glowstick Vince has used his ultimate so the damage is halfed and reflected at you.

Vaccination Time *
When used Reaper Nurse will go invisible which also makes her immune to the cameras on Monstrum Madness. She gains a 15% boost to her speed and attack damage for 20 seconds, and inflicts the Fear status effect on all foes for 10 seconds. Making them deal 70% less damage AND a 50% slower attack speed. Her attack dmg is now 20 for light and 41 for heavy. This is useful for fights, collecting shards, and even running away. Note that the Telepathy item will reveal you and your movement sounds are noticeable. She can be stunned in this state but, will not lose her buffs until she dies or the 20 seconds are up. Making her still put up a good fight if she outlasts the stun.

Golden Demise
Each axe that lands does 25 dmg. If all of them hit it does a max of 500 damage. Lasts for 10 seconds. They also need to travel for a second before they hit the target. They also do not go on forever so do not use this thinking you can snipe someone.

Eye of Suffering
Biggest difference between this and the Gold Watchers Ultimate is that this does more damage in exchange for more accuracy, doesn't need to travel, and has a shorter range. Do not miss if you use this as this lasts for 5 seconds and requires good aim. Each hit does 40 damage, a max of 2,000 damage. Every 0.1 seconds is 40 damage. So even if you briefly go over someone it is going to hurt them significantly.

Rib Crusher
This can only be cancelled if someone uses primal fear or a stun related ultimate ability as it is almost instant. 2 seconds is the time needed for Hangry to use this. When used it will deal 120 damage in an instant to all enemies caught in the blast wave. Very powerful and be sure to use it when an enemy cannot dodge it or get right next to them then use it so they cannot get away. It's ranged is about the same as Malak's. This does NOT go through walls like the Primal Fear item.

Power of Love *
The slight speed boost to her movement speed makes her the fastest in the game (even with other speed increasing U.A.'s) and will enhance her heavy attack. Her egg on her heavy attack will be powered up, making it be thrown 1.5 times (or 150%) farther making it a great sniping tool on some maps and long hallways. It will also make her heavy attack do 30 dmg instead of 25. This lasts for 15 seconds so be sure to use it to do some sniping, soul shard collecting, or avoid fights and running away.
Base game map events (Pt.1)
For this section I will talk about what tricks the maps will throw at ya something that can determine a game: Trap Time and Boss Time. I am going to do them in Map Order of release and this'll be for the base game.
A key thing to note is that both of these last for 1 minute when activated, they are auto activated when someone gets them in an portal box, and they cannot be gained again until the event has passed.

Monkey Business

When trap time is activated a bunch of bananas are spawned all over the map and plays "Feeding Frenzy". When it ends, all of the bananas that are spawned in are despawned. If a banana isn't despawned that is a banana that a player has put down. Like the item hit them twice with a light attack or once with a heavy attack to get rid of them. Stepping on one stuns you for 2 seconds.

When boss time activates in Monkey Business two of these Chef Monkeys spawn in and chase the players. When they reach you they do 30 dmg a second (15 every 0.5 seconds). If you are a speed class you will have no issue unless a 3rd party intervenes. Everyone else will NOT be able to outrun them when they drop their arms down.
So at that point try to last long enough so it ends, get an item to help you survive longer, use your ultimate depending on who you are, if all else fails when they get close turn around and run through them. They take a moment to turn around so you can get some distance for that couple of seconds. I would use that as a last resort when they get close. They have 2 modes. When swinging their arms they are at their slowest, when their arms are dropped they speed up. They will switch between the two when chasing players.

When they're active, "Pizza Time!" plays.

With this info in mind, in Maze Escape the mortals will need to collect 600 shards in order to check out. Here is the maze below.

Deadly Decadence

When trap time activates all of these spear traps will activate. They all activate at once and if you are ontop of them when they go off they deal 100 damage. Unlike the original Dark Deception there is no warning sound before they go up so do not rush them if you do not have their timing down.

Say hello to the Titan Watcher. He likes to laugh and throw giant flaming axes into the hedge maze. Where he throws the axes seems to be random but, do not rely on that to keep yourself safe. If you look at T.W. you can see where they are going to land so you can save yourself.
If an axe lands on you it'll deal half your health and when it lands you cannot walk through it until it disappears so it can sometimes cut off your escape route. They still block the monster's path on Maze Escape though. Which can end up saving you. Sometimes an axe will hit you twice before landing which will kill you so try not to get hit.

When either one of these are activated it plays "Mind your Manors".

Mortals will need to collect 600 soul shards in order to finish the job. Here is the maze.

Stranger Sewers

These are identical to the spear traps in Deadly Decadence. The only difference is their looks. They all activate at once, deal 100 damage, etc. When these short spike traps are activated the game plays "It's Time to Leave".

This is Doom Ducky. When activated it spawns in 3 of these. 2 of them go down big hallways and if they get close to players they bite them for 100 damage. If you see this fellow coming down the hallway move out of the way. When they reach the end of their respective halls they respawn back at the start and go down it again, and again, until the time is up. These 2 Doom Duckies can push the monster in Maze Escape so unless they need a push they should be careful as they can unintentionally help the mortals.
Where is the 3rd one?
Well, he is in the middle of the map where the original boss fight took place in the original game. In here however, he throws giant rubber duckies at ya with a white flame. If they hit you they deal 150 damage. So do not get hit and if the boss is active stay moving in that room. Do not however, walk in a straight line vertical to his perspective. That makes it easier for Doom Ducky. When this big boy is summoned the game plays "Doom and Despair" which is a remix of the original "Rising Terror".

The mortals need to collect 650 shards for them to leave this smelly place. Here is the maze.

Elementary Evil

Like the original in the boss fight w/ Agatha, these explode when you get near them. When you get near one they do a tick noise before exploding 0.5 seconds afterwards. If you get caught in the blast it deals 100 damage so be careful. You can get close and as soon as you hear the tick you can run away. Only other options is if you can take the damage, if you have an invincibility shield item, or you can use the speed boost item to run past them before they blow up. Sometimes they can spawn in a corner so you can just cut that corner and be safe. You can even use your ultimate ability to help you survive or get past them.

When this trap time event is triggered "Scared of a Little Girl?" plays for the duration.

Do you know your ABCs ? These guys will make sure you remember.

When boss time happens these little demons spawn in. A through G spawn in (a total of 7) and chase players around. Their speed is random every time a boss time event happens. For example, A could be so slow that only Power classes cannot get away but 3 minutes later someone starts the boss time event again and now A is a lot faster so only Support and Speed classes can get away. The speed of each letter is random on their spawn but, they still deal the same damage and have the same A.I.
If they catch up to you they deal 10 damage. Not a lot huh ? Well remember that 7 of them spawn in and if multiple ones are after you that can quickly stack up. Not to mention they have a fast attack speed as well. Trap time also being active might have you make a mistake and get hurt by a fake portal so they can finish you off.

When they spawn in "Lesson Learned (ABC Song)" plays until they all leave.

With this in mind the Mortals need to get 600 shards to be excused. Here is the maze.
Base game map events (Pt.2)
Crazy Carnevil

Say hello to the giant mallets. When trap time is activated all of these will smash together and deal 80 damage if you get squished in between them.
While these are swinging away, "Departing Sanity" will also play.

Unlike other maps that have 1 or multiple of the same boss, this map has 2 of them. Say hello to the Clown Spiders and the Goliath Clowns.

These guys will be all over the map and causing some serious chaos.

There will be 8 Goliath Clowns using monster magic to float above the abyss and will slam the area in front of them every 2 seconds and deal 100 damage if they get anyone with their giant fists. There will be 4 of them on both floors and they do not move.

The Clown Spiders however...move around and have a set path (Don't ask me, IDK their paths for each one) and starting near the middle pillars on the bottom floor. Instantly killing whoever they touch so avoid them. They are slow however, so even a Power Mortal can get away from them. 3 of them will climb up the pillars and onto the bottom floor for the first half of boss time, the 2nd half they will climb up to the top floor for the remainder of it. Careful since they can squeeze into the tunnels and hop over holes if they need to. When boss time ends be sure to still avoid them since they can still kill you and all 3 will climb down the pillars and back into the abyss from whence they came.

They are also the only bosses that is intentionally designed to kill ALL players they collide with, regardless of the game mode being played so be careful at all times against these two bosses.

When these 12 giant clown monstrosities are out and about, "Itsy Bitsy Clown Spider" will play as well.

In order for this insane show to end the Mortals must collect 550 soul shards to open the portals.
Bottom floor (left) and the Top floor (right)

Maps yet to release for this section: Mascot Mayhem (zone 1), Torment Therapy (zone unknown), Bearly Buried (zone 2), Holiday Horror (zone unknown), Prison Panic (zone unknown), Fear Fortress (zone unknown), Wicked Ways (zone unknown).
Tips & Tricks (Pt. 1)
"I keep getting stunned by Evans or PenPen." - My answer to that is before you engage them get either a "Primal Fear" item or an "Ultimate Drain" item. For Primal fear get close and use it since it goes through walls as well. For Ultimate drain wait until you are close to them and as soon as they get within range of your attack or their ultimate range, use it. Now they have to wait until it is ready again. Very effective for both cases, ultimate drain might be a slightly worse option since PenPen will most likely just run away or use an item.

"The mortal keeps using a shield item or some other to stop me." - If this is the case save the "Hand of Fate" item. When you get close or you suspect them of holding an item use it. This gets rid of whatever item they had, and they cannot get another item for 10 seconds.

"Agatha keeps getting me with her Ultimate" - Keep getting items until you get the med kit item. Heal yourself above 80 so she cannot use it to kill ya. Keep in mind that she might go in, attack you, run away and than use it. Because she only has 200 hp attack her and try to kill her or make her run away. Killing her will reset her Ultimate and her item. If you get lucky and get a kit with max hp save it for when she uses her ultimate on you or is trying to fight you to soften you for her ult.

"Ducky's Ultimate is scary" - I know it is scary. However, you have many options. Obviously items to stun or drain his ultimate. Another is riskier but it can work, try and bait that sucker into wasting it. You can also keep that "Invincibility" shield item on ya. If you get one, get close to their range and use it. Odds are they'll seek that opportunity for a kill, only to be wasted and being forced to run or fight. Be sure to time it right otherwise, they won't use their ult or you'll be grabbed and cannot use it.
Tips & Tricks (Pt. 2)
"When should I use items ?" - It depends. Let's just say there is no monster chasing you. If you get a health kit save it for when have a little over half of your hp so you use all of it. If you get the Invincibility shield save it for when you are near death or about to enter a fight with a player. If you get speed boost use it to chase down a player or to run away.

Some other things to note is that in Maze Escape, as a mortal, try and work as a team. Yes it is mostly split up and get shards but if you see a teammate being chased by the monster try and help them out. Use your item or Ultimate to help them or make it harder for the monster. If you're PenPen try and get the Chef Monkeys to chase you since you can outrun them.

If you stun someone with your police flashlight as Detective Evans you have 2 options. Kill the monster if you can or run.
Kill the monster IF they are low on HP so you can try and finish them off. If you're low enough on hp that you can be killed if they get out of the stun do not test your luck just hurt the monster once or twice with a heavy attack and then run. If the monster is a power class and you are not getting help by your teammates to damage it while stunned just do a hit and run.

If Evans stuns someone help him kill the monster, even a Power monster can be killed if 2 - 3 people do it together. I should know because it happened to me. Malak has to replace his suit now.

"When should I use my ultimate ?" - Well that depends on what it is. If it is the Clown Gremlin's use it A.S.A.P. because of how it works. Most of them are to use it when you are within range of a target or multiple targets. However, Murder Monkeys can be used to catch up to others on top of the damage barrage it does. So if you are just a bit far away use it, catch up, and kill 'em.

Doug's is best used for emergencies or you can try and bait a Monsters into chasing you and then ult to get away. Nikson's is best used when surrounded by soul shards so you can try and get 30 or very close to it. Bierce's is best used when you are low on Hp with no healing item or if you are too far to heal a teammate.

Glowstick Vince's is best used when you are in combat. When you use it will determine the outcome. If you use it before the fight the enemy will likely run away, if used in the middle of the fight they're likely to accidentally hit you once so they take damage and encourage them to run or wait it out. You can also use this on the traps and bosses and you take 0 damage from them as long as it is active. PenPen's is best used for either, speed boost, stun the monster(s) and run, or even assist someone who is fighting/running from the monster(s).

Agatha's Ultimate most of the time is used the instant it is ready however, you can keep it and use it to it's true potential. Since it targets the one with the least Hp if you want to get someone with it specifically, you can just find them, damage them enough, run away to safety, than use it to deal 80 dmg. This is very useful against Mortals. Run in and hit who you want with some heavy attacks and use it immediately to kill her.

"The monsters are guarding the portal exits! What should I do?" - Depends on what monsters is guarding each portal and who you are. In most scenarios it is best to get an item and speed past the monster or make it so you take 0 damage. If you are unlucky with items try and use your ultimate to help you escape. Remember that Doug Houser's Ult is an instant escape. The others provide speed, or render the monster to not fight. Except Nikson and some other characters, get an item or just run for it depending on who the monster is or the situation.
If the monster is Speed they do low damage so just run for it, if it is a balanced monster take caution so use an item or ultimate, if it is a power monster almost always get an item or use your ultimate. A monster guarding an exit will likely keep a good item on them so be ready for anything.

If both are guarding only 1 exit go for the other one. If one is guarding each exit refer to above and you can pick your poison of which one to go for.

"How many shards does each Mortal class lose on Maze Escape again?" -
Look at this table, listed from least amount lost to most amount lost. Support and Speed Mortals need to take caution since if the Monsters choose to target you your team will pay for it.
Type
Shards lost
Power
15
Balanced / Ranged

Support

Speed

Tips & Tricks (Pt.3)
"Who should I go for in Maze Escape 1st ?" - While it is your choice keep in mind of how many shards each mortal type loses on death, how they work in combat, and their ultimate abilities.

Personally I would go for them in this order :

Speed, Support, Balanced, Ranged, Power

I chose this order due to importance, shards lost, and how they fight against you. However, sometimes if you see all of them together and you can see an easy kill, go for it even if it's someone powerful. A kill is a kill, and shards will be lost for the Mortal team. Of course, it also depends on your character and if you have an item or not and what kind. Speed is very valuable to kill but, can be hard to get to if they see you coming or they have simple game sense.

Speed Mortals costs the team 42 shards.
Support loses the 2nd most of shards and they can heal their teammates or buff their defense. Balanced can very depending on your target. For example, chasing Doug is risky since he might be able to just escape from you and lead you on a wild goose chase. Nikson would be a better target since he cannot disappear on you like that.
Power Mortals because of how scary he can be if you are not prepared to fight them and Ultimate Abilities can make things VERY difficult to kill them, in some scenarios all you can do is run and pray they don't have an item to catch up to you,

"How fast is each character again ?" - I did go over every characters speed. I'll quickly summarize it here, fastest to slowest.
Speed class (same speed), Support Monster, Support Mortal, Ranged class (same speed), Balanced Monster, Balanced Mortal, Power Monster, Power Mortal. It is very important you know this. This knowledge will help you choosing who to go after and if you can get them or not.

"Who should I pick to play as?" - That entirely depends on you and your skills in combat. If you are new to the game I highly recommend Balanced characters so you can learn the games ropes. They are safe picks and good for every map because their stats are all average. Once you play the game a bit and learn how it works (or read this guide) you can then try other characters. I would also read up on their stats and U.A.'s so you know exactly how they work just in case you forget.
DLC list
When a DLC is released I will remove the character reveal images and replace them with a link to the steam store page for that DLC, their price, and even a brief synopsis of the map if applicable to that DLC.

The list is, in release order:

Monstrum
(1 mortal, Prisoner Borisov) (2 monsters, The Brute, The Fiend) This map is based on the Cargo Ship in the 1st game, Hisa Maru Cargo Ship. There is multiple floors, security cameras that will reveal your location, steam pipes that'll burn you and a plane can drop cargo to summon this maps bosses. In game the level is called "Monstrum Madness" and it fits perfectly.
The DLC costs $5.99 USD. Released on Dec. 21st, 2020

https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/app/1450740/Monsters__Mortals__Monstrum/

Silent Hill
The DLC will pay respects on not just 1 game but, instead the entire Silent Hill video game franchise. Mostly 1-4 and references to the others.
(2 mortals, Heather Mason, Cybil Bennett) (2 monsters, Robbie the Rabbit, The Nurse)
This map is the 2nd biggest in the game currently, bigger than the launch day version of Stranger Sewers.
The map is based off of the town in the 1st game and the trap time and boss time is a reminder of how scary the monsters can be in the franchise. Air Screamers will fly at you if you enter their territory and when the boss appears the town turns over to the Otherworld as they hunt you down with their giant sword. In game the level is called "Silent Sacrifice" which fits with this dark video game series. The map has many easter eggs referencing the Silent Hill series from the trap, boss, and easter eggs throughout the map. Some are hidden and some are obvious.
The DLC released on March 23rd at 6 A.M. PST in 2021. Will cost $9.99 USD when not on sale.

The DLC is a limited time offer and was removed from the steam store at the end of March 2022. Before returning on June 29th, 2023 to stay on the store for a year before being removed again. Should it pop up again the link below should work.

Mortal Creator Pack
(3 Mortals, 8-bit Ryan, Dawko, SuperHorrorBro)
This DLC pack is different than the others in that there is no map or monster. This pack adds in 3 Dark Deception content creators to the game. Dawko and 8-bit Ryan play DD and DD:M&M and are some of the famous players who play these games and many others. SuperHorrorBro however is more than just a youtuber who plays. He does theories on DD, hosts the old DLC showcase videos, and was the previous editor who did the editing for the trailers for the DLC above, Chapters 1-3, etc.
Unleash your fists of fury as 8-Bit Ryan, glitch out yourself and allies to avoid getting hurt by light and heavy attacks as Dawko, or make your enemies bleed as SuperHorrorBro!
Released on April 30th at 9 AM PST in 2021. This DLC costs $3.99 USD.

Yandere Simulator
(3 mortals, Senpai, InfoChan, and Hanako) (1 monster, Ayano Aishi).
Akademi High School is a place of learning and is a college in the shape of a high school for the students. Travel inside and outside the school with many posters to look at. The school has multiple floors and a rooftop. Beware of the Police Officers and the glitchy Fun Girls.
Released on June 28th, 2023 and is available for $5.99 USD
However, after some disturbing information came out about the original creator of Yandere Simulator this DLC is NO LONGER available. If it ever gets back up (Very low odds) the link should work.

Poppy Playtime Panic
This DLC pack is interesting. The map is the Playtime Co. headquarters where you can travel around the factory and be inside vents. Based off of Ch.1 of Poppy Playtime. Huggy Wuggy is the boss of the level with Cat-Bee's being the trap time. You also get 1 Monster, Kissy Missy. This is released on Dec 22, 2023.
This DLC is also a LIMITED TIME similar to Silent Hill's DLC, so grab it before it is gone. Costing $5.99 Currently, it is unknown when this will be removed or if it's weird wording and it's a perm DLC.
https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/app/1825942/Poppy_Playtime/

House of Ashes
(2 Mortals, Salim Othman and Jason Kolchek. 2 Monsters, Infected Balathu and an Infected Clarice Stokes.) The boss is many Vampires with the trap time being machine gun turrets. All within the map being an ancient Sumerian Temple that is the biggest map in the game if not Akkademi Assault. Released on Feb 16th, 2024, costing $7.99.

https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/app/1825941/Monsters__Mortals__House_of_Ashes/

U.S. Creator
This DLC lets you play as CoryxKenshin, a Power Mortal who uses a katana as his weapon. This is the cheapest DLC in the game with also the least amount of content to it. This released on March 22nd, 2024 and costs only $2.99 to purchase. The cheapest DLC to purchase.

The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters
(1 monsters, Darkest Song) (2 mortals, Mina Park, Yaesol) The map takes place in another world just like Silent Hill, The Coma. You're in Dokkaebi Market in The Coma and it is a twisting place with many shops that reference their locations in The Coma 2 and The Coma 2B. The bosses are 2 Butchers that chase after players with meat cleavers and the trap is tentacles that slap players and spray poison when killed.
It released on March 1st 2025 and is $6.99.

Roblox - Piggy & Roblox - Doors
The Piggy DLC was confirmed on Feb 21st 2022 with Doors on Sept. 18th 2023. The models of will be different both visually (to not be like Roblox) and I think the right word is graphically (Since Piggy's design was very close to Peppa Pig).
Currently planned for the 2nd half of 2025. No characters for Piggy are confirmed yet but, we did get some for the Doors one. They are Screech, Seek, Glitch, Figure, Dupe, and Bob.

These DLC's will be FREE and used to be separate. Now they are combined into 1 DLC and will release together with a ton of characters and 2 maps.

When the time comes I will update the list with the other guest DLCs and rearrange the order listing in the DLC release order.
Monstrum DLC stats & Monstrum Madness events
This section will be for the Monstrum character stats with their ultimate ability stats, and then the traps and bosses for the the map. The level in game is called Monstrum Madness. The mortals will need to collect 600 shards to open the exits and abandon ship. There are multiple floors so here are images for each floor. 1st and 2nd floors.

Big cooldowns so use your attack type wisely.

Cool Down

He will spray an area in front of him with a fire extinguisher and anyone hit by it will be frozen and slowed down for 10 seconds. The target will also turn ice blue. The slowed target is so slow that they can barely move at all. This makes it the slowest speed in the entire game. It has the same range as Detective Evans Ultimate ability.

Magma Charge

Makes the Brute so fast he can barely outrun Speed characters. Magma Charge lasts for 10 seconds when activated and has impact damage and burn damage. It cannot outrun PenPen's Ultimate however so if she uses it and you use yours you aren't gonna get her unless she messes up or something. The Brute is also immune to slows when using his ultimate. So items and Ultimates that slow down will not work. Stuns do work on him so Evans, Bananas, Primal Fear, Lucky, etc. can stun him and end the ultimate ability prematurely.

Impact damage deals 75 damage and the burning does 20 dmg over time for 3 seconds, a total of 60 for the full burning effect. 75 + 60 = 135. So be careful if he uses it and he can do the impact damage repeatedly as well as the burning effect but, it only can be reapplied if the burning ends before he rams into you again.

Mind Pull

When used The Fiend will teleport the weakest player to him (after a moment of using it) and will deal 10% dmg to them depending on their maximum Hp. As well as inflict Fear, deal 70% less damage AND a 50% slower attack speed. The range is unlimited like Agatha's and teleport whoever has the lowest Hp. Be careful though as you might bring a power type, someone with a good item, or ultimate ability ready to your location so be ready just in case.

Trap time and Boss time events

Trap time - Steam and Security Cameras.

Unlike the other maps in the game. This map has 2 traps you'll have to worry about instead of one.

When trap time is active the security cameras will turn on. They will turn left and right with a red circle indicating where they're looking. If anyone steps in that circle it will sound an alarm and they will be revealed through walls for 4 seconds like the Telepathy item. Works on monsters and mortals. Monsters will glow red while Mortals will glow purple. Using the Vanish item doesn't trigger them. If you are on the 3rd floor of the map you don't have to worry about them. The other 3 however, do have security cameras so if you're trying not to be found be sure to wait until they look away before you move.

On top of worrying about cameras revealing where you are, hot steam will burst out of pipes of the ship. If it hits you it'll deal 100 damage think of them like sideways spikes. Except unlike spikes that when active they can block you these do not block you at all. You only have to worry about the Steam if you are on the 1st floor of the map when on the edges of the ship and in the middle. So keep an eye out for where they will pop out and memorize them.

When Trap time activates "Steamed" plays.

Boss time - Boss Brutes

These bosses will spawn all together on the Helicopter landing pad. 4 of these guys will pick the target closest to them and pursue them. They can split up so be careful when going near them. They are slow, so slow that Power Mortals can outrun them.

When they get in range they will punch for 35 damage. When they are within range BUT not close enough to punch you they will occasionally spit fireballs out at their target. Because the map has multiple floors they can be shot at an angle. They mostly go straight unless their target is in a position to where they will fire it at an angle. So it can be shot upwards and downwards.

If that fireball hits you you'll be notified on the bottom of your screen. It has no impact damage but it will start to burn you. Each burn does 20 damage and it'll last long enough to a total of 80 damage.

When Boss time activates "The Brute" plays.
Silent Hill DLC stats
This section is for the Silent Hill character stats and ultimate ability stats. The level in game is called Silent Sacrifice. This map requires the most shards to escape. On launch it was 1K shards, later changed to 850. Currently it's 750 shards in order to leave this town of monsters.

Seal of Metatron

When used Heather will buff her team (or herself on Soul Collection) so they have a stronger defense and will have 15% increase in movement speed.
The increase in defense will cause you or your team to take 50% less damage dmg from all sources. Foes, bosses, traps, Phantom Malak, and ultimate abilities.

For example, something that would do 50 damage will instead do 25 damage.

These effects on everyone lasts for 10 seconds. I see this being used when the exits are opened, when a game of Soul Collection is nearing its end, a teammate is in trouble with the monster(s) or trap/boss. Imagine the monsters in a game of Maze Escape trying to kill a power type only for Bierce and Heather to use both of their U.A.'s.

Ranged Mortals have a ranged attack, faster than Balanced Monsters, longer heavy attack cooldown. Same Hp for Balanced Mortals however.

SPECIAL - Her heavy attack is ranged so feel free to use it to poke players who are chasing you or kill traps from a distance.

Incapacitate

When used Cybil will fire a special bullet that will deal 10% dmg to the target (Refer to the table below) and completely empties out that targets ultimate ability meter and they cannot regen it for 15 seconds.
This is good against a foe that has an ultimate ability that can insta kill you or be seen as annoying. I see this being useful against monsters like Agatha and the Fiend or to simply play it safe against a specific foe depending on the game mode.

Here is a table for her damage to her targets when using her ultimate :

Balanced

Rabbit Rampage

Robbie will summon 3 clones of himself that will follow him. They will attack the enemy the player marks by attacking them. If Robbie hits a different target the clones will switch who they decide to beat up with their pipes. This ability lasts for 1 minute and the clones can be killed. 4 light attacks or 2 heavy attacks to kill his clones. They deal 15 damage if they hit ya.

They will NOT attack until you hit the target for them. Otherwise they'll just follow you.
This can be used to go and collect shards while your clones go after a target you recently hit for example. Very useful for multi tasking or taking down power types. The ultimate ability will also not charge until the minute is up, like the clowns. Careful who you hit since faster enemies can just run away or kill them from a safe distance with a ranged attack. For them, use an item to stun or slow them down so the clones can catch up easier.

Nurse - Support Monster

Light dmg/Heavy dmg

Attack Cooldown

Fear Cuts Deep

When used Nurse will inflict fear on all enemies on the gamemode type. This ability lasts for 10 seconds and will cause the enemies to deal 70% less damage AND a 50% slower attack speed. They attack slower and hit softer. This affects most Ultimate abilities as well so if you use yours as someone is using theirs to attack you it will do less damge until your ultimate ends at which point they will begin to do normal damage again.

Nurse will also gain a 20% attack dmg boost for those 10 seconds as well. This makes it so her light attack is now 26 and heavy attack 52. It seems it is best used when going up against a healthy or powerful foe to turn the tables in your favor. This is very good against Power characters so they cannot hurt you too badly or too quickly but, you can.
Silent Sacrifice events
This section is for the Silent Hill DLC Trap Time and Boss time events.
Trap time - Air Screamer

6 will spawn around the map and will deal 15 dmg on hit and fly towards you if you're in their territory. They will die to either 3 heavy attacks or 6 light attacks. They also wander around so it can give you time to run away out of their territory. If you leave their area they'll stop chasing you. They will all be nearby the portal boxes except for 2 areas down the long alley way. So you will only find them on the edges of the map.

When trap time begins "Don't Cry" will play :

Boss time - Red Pyramid Thing

2 will spawn in near their chosen target and walk towards them. When they get close will do 50 dmg when they hit you with the sword. They move very slow. Making them even slower than the Boss Brutes but, they have 2 tricks up their sleeves (lack of).

When close they will stop and thrust their blade into the ground and make a summoning circle. If you're in it you will get trapped in a cage and will take 10 dmg. You are stuck in that cage for 5 seconds which guarantee's RPT will hit ya at least once. They'll only try this when they are close to you.

The other is they can do a quick dash to quickly close the gap if you are far from them but, not close for them to swing. When their target is too far away from them they will teleport closer to their current target.

You can fight back against RPT, but it does nothing so just run for your life.

Each RPT will target 1 person until they are dead. Afterwards they will go after a new one that isn't being targeted by the other one. If none are available they just stand still where they killed their last target and wait until either someone respawns OR boss time ends.

If you're being chased you have 3 plans for survival.
1) Keep your distance so that the dash will not get you but, not too far that he will teleport to you.
2) Keep too close to him that he won't dash, won't swing or try and stun you.
3) Find one of the cars on the map and play a game of ring around the rosie with him. If you do this take the wide path since if you're too close to him he will stun you and the car will not block it.

UK Mortal Creators Pack DLC stats
This section is for the stats and ultimate abilities for the 3 UK Creators that are in this pack. This is the first DLC to be released that DOESN'T come with a map. Just 3 mortals. These 3 are all youtubers. 8-bit Ryan and Dawko are big names as they play the base DD and DD:M&M every now and then. SuperHorrorBro was the previous editor for Glowstick entertainment as he edit trailers for Dark Deceptions Ch.2&3, this games 1st DLC trailers and showcase videos, and voice reveals for Ch.4 monsters.

Make sure you are next to the target so it lands. If you can punch 'em you can use your Ultimate on 'em. However, if they manage to land a hit as you use your U.A. it can end it prematurely.

Darkest Desire
When used Dawko will glitch out himself and all other players so that they are immune to light and heavy attacks. However, this does not make all those players immune to items, bosses, traps, and ultimate's. This will last for 15 seconds which is perfect to temporarily end all fights, get soul shards, escape, and grab a portal box for items. Strangely, Penny's eggs can still hurt him despite it being a part of her heavy attack.

SPECIAL - His light attacks have less cooldown than other Balanced Mortals and his heavy attack has more range than his light attack but, in exchange when you press the button to do it will take a second to deal actual dmg. It is delayed like Murder Monkey's heavy attack.

A Thousand Cuts
When activated after about 1 second, SuperHorrorBro (SHB from here on) will send an energy wave forward and all enemies in that gamemode that are hit will take damage and then bleed over time. The range is similar to Borisov's and Evan's and a straight line so be sure to aim it right.

The initial hit will deal 20% dmg based on the targets max Hp and each bleed does 5 dmg and will happen 7 times for a total of 35 dmg over time.
Here is a table for each initial damage.
For example when used on a balanced mortal it will do 36 dmg on the initial hit and start the bleeding status effect which adds to a total of 71 dmg.

This section is for the Yandere Simulator DLC. This is just the character stats and ultimate ability stats. The level in game is called Akademi Assault. It is a school with an outdoor and indoor area, 2 floors, and a rooftop. Players will need to collect 600 soul shards in order to graduate from Akademi.

Here is the map layout. Bottom Floor + Outdoor area, then the layout of the school's 2 floors, and lastly the layout of the rooftop. Leading to a total of 4 floors on this map.

During this time Ayano will put away her sword and use her fists to attack the enemies automatically and rapidly (no input from the player besides pressing Q and walking towards the enemy) which is timed with the animation so you know when the punches will connect. Her attack ranged is reduced significantly as well. Each hit does 24 damage. If you are near a lot of players in an open space use it to kill them all quickly. Just make sure you are closer more than usual before ya activate it.

SPECIAL - Similar to Penny the Chicken her heavy attack is like a projectile. Lasting for 6 seconds until it hits a player or disappears after those 6 seconds.

However, unlike Penny you cannot throw it diagonally or vertically and you don't hit a foe "twice" if you do the heavy attack next to them. If you look up or down it will just go straight.
She shoots out a Heart shaped projectile that is slower than Penny's projectile speed. Strangely she does more heavy damage than the other Ranged Mortal. It can also go through walls as well so you could try and use this on opponents chasing you. Same with her Ultimate Ability.

Fangirling
When activated she will fire out 4 Fiery Heart bullets in a Plus pattern that do 50 damage each. (1 projectile will go where she is looking, 1 behind her, and each at her sides. She will also heal 30% of her total Hp over 5 seconds. She will heal 12 Hp per second, a total of 60.

Akademi Assault events
Trap time - Police Officers

When trap time begins, 8 Police Officers will spawn around the school and will move towards any player they spot. When they reach the player they will swing their baton at them for 15 damage. Unlike most trap times you can actually kill them. You can kill them if you attack them with 5 light attacks OR 3 heavy attacks.

Where they all spawn is random every trap time but, they can spawn in the outdoor area, inside the school on either of the 2 floors, and the school's rooftop.

All characters can outrun them but, don't get cocky since that damage can rack up if multiple officers are after you or you're in a tight space or dead end. Jumping off the ramp at the rooftop is a good way to lose them since they won't follow you that way.

(Because of the situation with Yandere Dev, the DLC was not only pulled from the Steam store but the OST videos on YouTube were made private.)
When Trap time begins, "Investigation" will play :

Boss time - Fun Girls

When boss time begins a gray, static-like filter will occur all over the map and 2 of them will spawn in. They will teleport or float to their target and when in melee range will attack them for 40 damage and will cause them to be visuallyGlitched like Dawko's Ultimate Ability for 5 seconds as well. Causing them slowness for that duration. After attacking she will remain still for 2 seconds before continuing her chase after her target. She will sometimes switch targets after she hits her target so don't be near her if you're not being targeted at all. She just might focus her attention on you instead.

Each one will target a player and won't target the same player like the 2 Red Pyramid Things. Being too far away from her will cause her to teleport nearby you.

Best plan against her is to run and cut corners. Especially if you're a Power or Balanced class. She's so quick that Speed and Support characters are the best chance of avoiding her the longest. Also, jumping off the ramp at the rooftop is a good way to lose her for a moment since she won't follow you that way. She will teleport after you however.

When Boss time begins, "Fun Girl" will play :
Poppy Playtime Panic DLC stats & Poppy Panic Events
This is currently the smallest DLC map with very tight hallways and the map events will make those hallways more dangerous. Interestingly, the map has 2 tracks that play when no event is happening instead of 1. Depends where you are in the map (vents or the main factory). There is also a tiny "2nd floor" in the factory area where in the main game before you get chased into a vent. Stairs that lead to a drop off at the top.

Name of the map in game is called, Poppy Panic and requires the Mortals to grab 600 shards to open the portals to escape the dreaded toy factory.

SPECIAL - Heavy attack has extra range to it, the longest range that isn't a projectile either.

Ultimate Ability - Toy Tornado

When activated Kissy Missy will spin in a mini tornado and fling out 4 Cat Bee toys in a + formation (1 in front, 1 in back, 1 at each side) that will go through walls similar to Hanako's. If it hits a player they will take 50 damage on impact and then will be burned. Dealing 3 damage per second for 6 seconds, totaling to 18 damage from the burning, 68 for being hit by 1 Cat Bee projectile.

If the foes dodge the toys but, get too close to her when she does it they will be hit by her tornado and be slapped for 21 damage. However, there's currently a bug so foes will not get hurt by her spinning directly, instead taking 21 damage regardless of where they are on the map. So until it's fixed they just need to dodge the projectiles. As they cannot dodge that 21 damage.

Map Events
Trap time - Cat-Bee's

When trap time is activated a ton of Cat-Bee's will spawn on the ground around the map and will not move. If a player gets too close to them they will spray out a poisonous cloud. Players who are in it will be slowed and take damage over time. If a player got caught in the cloud they will take 3 damage for 3 seconds after leaving the cloud (not counting the damage they take when they enter it). This totals to 9 damage after leaving the cloud so avoid it or kill the Cat-Bee in your way.

If you get close to a Cat-Bee slowly you can attack it without having it spray the cloud out. They will die in 3 heavy attacks or 6 light attacks. Be sure that after you kill one you wait 1 second before moving ahead since it will be alive for a brief moment. Wait a second to avoid being hit by a cloud anyway. You can kill the poisonous clouds as well, 1 heavy attack or 2 light attacks will get rid of them. If your Ultimate Ability is an attack you can shred them easily.

So to best counter them, do not rush corners or you can run into it and be poisoned or you can kill them if they are blocking your way or use an ability or use an item to recover or null it if in dire situations with low Hp.

When this event occurs, Defective Toys will start playing

Boss time - Huggy Wuggies

When boss time is activated 4 Huggy Wuggies will appear. 1 will spawn in the ventilation area, 1 will in the "Playtime" area where the podium is, 1 will spawn in the "Make a Toy" area, and the last one will spawn in the 4 hallways that connect (left side of the map). Once they are on the map they will chase after a selected player until they are killed, then a new target is chosen. They are quite fast so Speed and Support characters will have an easy time avoiding them. If they attack you it will do 30 damage. Unlike some other bosses to where you can dodge their attack, if they attack you WILL be hit. The further away one is from their chosen target the faster they will be. So you will find out quickly if you're chosen or not.

Unlike every other boss time in the game you can kill them. 3 heavy attacks or 6 light attacks will do the job (knocking them on the ground) and do 1 more after to kill one. However, consider that as long as the boss time event is occurring the one you kill will respawn where it's spawn location is at so be careful so you don't make one respawn near you. Try and kill one that will respawn far away or just run away.

Unlike the trap time, Ultimate Abilities will do nothing to him so you have to use your light/heavy attacks.

So your best counter is to keep moving or kill it. Try not to have all 4 on you since that can rack up if you get caught out for even a brief moment.

When this event occurs, No More Hugs will start playing

It will also pierce through enemies as well so you can potentially hit multiple targets. It is very fast so be sure to use this at the right time so you don't miss or let the enemy see it coming so they can dodge it or tank the hit or heal off of it with an item.

If you use it with NO target in the path, it does nothing and you stand still. This leaves you wide open for an attack so do not miss if the person you're trying to bite sees you. If you miss, hope that they don't know you're there.

Trap time - Machine Gun Turrets

When trap time begins many of these around the map will turn on instead of being off. When a player enters a turret's radius it will turn towards them and once it has its muzzle pointed at the target it will rapidly fire bullets at them. Each bullet does 3 dmg and shoots you 8 times. Totaling to 24 damage. After this barrage of bullets it will reload before firing again. It takes it 1 second to reload so move out of the way between firings or you can break it.

If you hit it with 6 light attacks or 3 heavy attacks you will achieve this. Ultimate Abilities that do damage will affect them so if you're a Murder Monkey your U.A. will have to hit it 6 times before it goes down. Do note that in some areas where there is solid objects in the radius of a turret it can see through it and it WILL fire at you and hit you so don't try and hide behind a rock inside its radius. Just keep running, stay out of the radius, or destroy it.

You could also use items or Ultimate Abilities to negate or recover from it. Killing it doesn't make it disappear like other traps but don't worry it will stay off for good for the rest of trap time. Being invisible will also negate them even seeing you.

When trap time begins "Assault", will play :

Boss time - Vampires

These infected aliens have become vampires. They are very hungry and hunt in packs. When Boss time begins 5 in total will spawn around the map and go towards the closest player. When they get close to their prey they will claw them for 60 damage and crawl towards them on all fours but, if that target is far away from them they will fly towards them which is much faster than crawling. They can be killed but, have a lot of Hp. Taking 16 light attacks or 8 heavy attacks to kill.

When crawling they are slightly faster than Balanced Monsters and when flying they're faster than Speed characters.

If you're being chased by multiple vampires or god forbid, all 5 like I once was, do not let them catch up since their attack cooldowns are low so they will shred you in seconds if you let them.

When boss time begins, "Into the Light" will play :

The target(s) who survive the initial hit will burn for 5 seconds, 10 damage per second which adds to 50 in total. They will also not only burn, they will also get the fear status effect. This means the target(s) attack damage is reduced by 70% and their attack speed by 50% for 10 seconds.

Shogun Slash will deal a total of 230 damage !

Because it is melee ranged be sure to get close to your target(s) or use other items to slow them or stun them.
The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters DLC stats & Dokkaebi Domain events
This is the smallest DLC map but it makes up for it in the traps and boss. This is the street market, Dokkaebi Market but also in the alternate world called The Coma (Similar to Silent Sacrifice). There is some small dead ends and the layout is mostly linear with little space to maneuver around in some areas.
In game this level is called, Dokkaebi Domain. In order to leave with your purchase of soul shards you will need 600 of them in Maze Escape.

Pepper Spray

This has short range so you have to be close to your target(s) for it to land, when sprayed on an enemy they will be stunned for 5 seconds and be inflicted with blind (Which is a removed effect or bugged), burning, fear (bugged), and weakness for 11 seconds. The inflicted foes that are burned will take a total of 55 damage over time (5 per second for 11 seconds). Once the stun ends Mina will also get a 15% speed boost for 20 seconds (currently bugged)

You can use this defensively by using it to stun a target and run away or use it offensively and after using it you keep using your heavy attack to do even more damage on top of the burning effect.

Thrall Shriek

When used all foes in a radius will be inflicted with fear and reduced speed for 10 seconds. If she is close enough and aims it at a target or multiple players bunched together it will deal 75 damage on top of the reduced speed and fear. Pretty solid for fights, especially if used during or as the first attack you do.

Map events
Trap time - Tentacles

When trap time begins, many tentacles will spawn around the map. On the floor and on walls. If a player gets too close they will swing at them and deal 10 damage. They have 6 Hp which means if you do 6 light attacks OR 3 heavy attacks you can kill them. However, on death they release a poisonous cloud. If you are caught in it you will take 3 damage per second for 5 seconds, totaling to 15 damage.

This trap sounds weak but it makes up for it in the sheer numbers that spawn when this is active. You have some options, if you have a ranged attack you can kill them from a distance and wait a short time for the cloud to dissipate, run around them if on the ground or hug the opposite wall if one is on a wall, and of course, using speed or invincibility to ignore them.
When trap time occurs, "Chase" will play

Boss time - The Butcher

When boss time begins the map will turn dark red with the Blood Moon in the sky. 2 Butchers will spawn and walk towards the nearest player emitting black smoke. When they get close to the player he will swing one or both meat cleavers to do 75 damage on hit. If a target is too far away he will teleport nearby the player and continue the chase. They're speed is very slow that anyone can run away from them with ease. Currently, the attack range is small so as long as you keep moving you will never get hit by them. Even walking through one is safe that the range is small. This boss can be killed if you do 6 light attacks or 3 heavy attacks. Just like the Huggie Wuggies in Poppy Panic they will respawn instantly when killed.

When boss time occurs, "The Butcher (Dark Song)" will play.
What frequent players have to say
To celebrate getting over 750 unique visitors I asked some frequent players in M&M to share some words of wisdom.

Joy Joy Lucky says, "As much as I love to go on the offensive I still have my own rules, if it gets to dire make sure you fall back to gather yourself together. Get a medkit or wait out the last seconds of your ultimate. Also make sure you are utilising your items, you would be surprised how much a banana can turn the tide of a fight. Last thing, show everyone who's boss ;). I always know a strong fighter when I see one and if you beat me fair and square you have my respect! Anyway see you all out there 🙂 "

You can say hi to him here : https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/profiles/76561198863144390
He also has a YT Channel if you're interested : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHg8SHmLmyOsx6NkKQqALQQ/videos

Ketchup says, "“The game is more in-depth than you’d think at first. This is especially true with the combat system. Finding out when to attack, how to bait attacks from your opponent, and changing up your movement patterns are vital if you are to come out on top against your opponent. This is especially true with speed class characters…unless you’re PenPen. Please do not fight if you’re playing as PenPen, it’s a bad idea.”

If ya like his words he made many steam guides focusing on specific characters in game so feel free to give those a look. Even I have learned some info from them.

RyGuy LV says, "This game will be unfair at times and it can be super demotivating, but don't let that stop you. Losing will not always be your fault, and you can definitely decrease the chances through experience. Practice makes perfect and you'll improve your skills in no time. Don't let losses bog you down- let them be the fuel you need to win another game. You've got this! Try every character and welcome their kit into your play-style if you need to shake things up on a losing streak. They may surprise you :)"

If you're interested in RyGuy feel free to go to the "Special Thanks" below and check his channel out his YT channel which also has a link to his steam profile.

I decided to not add achievements to this guide since they are self explanatory AND there is already a guide for them by RyGuy

New patch came out days ago which added more skins, achievements are now unlockable, and some bug fixes. Game is also out on Consoles (no crossplay). Currently, I am getting the achievements and then will add them to this guide. I also will go over my guide again for anything that could be outdated like bugs or grammatical errors.

Added the trap time music for Coma 2, unless GE uploads the track on their YT page like they did with the boss time I'll just keep it as is for now.

The guide will be updated tomorrow or later so the patches coming out for bugs can better suit the characters such as their ultimate abilities or any balance changes to the new trap and boss.
