Make sure you have your back exposed at all times, If you know someones a spy...make sure you turn your back to them when they come. Try to block every single bullet going at the spy from other team mates so the spy doesn't die before he kills you.

To suck at engineer, you must suck at both keeping your buildings alive, and building your buildings in the first place. When building your engineer building expose your back and do not react to any damage you take. If your building is being attacked, remain calm and do nothing about it. NEVER REMOVE SAPPERS. Only good engineers remove spy's sappers, so don't remove them.

Bad engineers tend to die to anyone who comes across them. If someone is running your way trying to kill you, make sure you miss every single shot you fire. Never dodge either, let their bullets, rockets, melee, or fire, kill you. With this tactic you will even die to medics! You'll suck at engineer in no time!

If you want to be a bad engineer, you have to look like a bad engineer and use the least effective weapons in the game.
