Yeah I wish it covered the entirety of SoR2. Perhaps someone can mod these character sprites into the Genesis version?

i played up until lau ka long the second time and quit, that unlocked him for me. gotta say its a little disappointing that it just loops but it was free. and im always happy with more yakuza

i went through 9 rounds, not because i din't realize that it was the first stage going around in circle, but bicause that i tough that the final character would have been unlocked after the round 8 or something.
reason being that the original SOR2 had 8 stages, so i tough that the last caracter would have unlocked at that moment.

Yesterday, got to stage 3 before realizing I was going in circles so I quit to main menu and exited the game. This morning I noticed Ichiban was unlocked for me so don't need to lose or keep playing. Ichiban means complete... XD

I got near the end of round 2 and quit to the menu at that time. Didn't work for me. Meh, who cares? I probably never going to play this game again. Better put the time into Golden Axed.

Its streets of rage 2 first stage. round ends at the bar fight in back. I went 7 rounds and saw Ichiban apear as unlocked. what is nice about him. he is faster.

I wish it was Nishiki or Date that you unlocked.

Ah I see, weird that some people are not unlocking him, a bug maybe?

I think it's not needed to get a game over. Just by returning to the main menu should do the trick
