SOMUA S35

Shaking the ground, with the force of thousand guns!

The SOMUA S35 was a cavallery tank used by the French Army during the "Fall Gelb"; the Invasion of france during WW2.

With a 47mm cannon, this tank was pretty well armed for its time.

The downfall of the tank, however, was the flawed french doctrine on tank warfare. Not every tank had a two-way Radio, except for commando tanks.
Thus, these tanks succumbed to the force and tactic of the Blitzkrieg infamously fast.

The german army, however, recognised the effectiveness of this tank. Many of them where captured and reemployed as so called "Beutepanzer".
