This guide has all of the information you need to know about walking in Garry's Mod. Enjoy!

(If you haven't purchased Garry's Mod yet, then I recommend clicking off this guide. Purchasing the game is already a very long process, and this video already explains it perfectly.)

Before we can start, you need to make sure that you have Garry's Mod installed. Garry's Mod needs to be installed if you want to begin walking. To install Garry's Mod, you're going to want to visit the game in your Steam library, then press the blue button saying "Install" If you followed this step correctly, a window is going to pop up saying "You are about to install Garry's mod." Just click "Next" and the installation should begin. If done correctly, Garry's Mod should download and will be installed shortly.



The first step is to go onto your Steam library, as this is how you will be able to launch Garry's Mod. If you have a lot of games in your library, then you're going to have to keep scrolling until you find Garry's Mod. Once you find Garry's Mod, click on it, then click the "Play" button. If done correctly, a little window that says "Preparing to Launch Garry's Mod" should pop up, and Garry's Mod should launch.



Besides installing and launching Garry's Mod, one of the most important parts of this guide is being able to load a map. You can't walk in Garry's Mod if you aren't in a game. This guide should also work with multiplayer games, but for now I'm just going to show how to start a game in singleplayer. If you have successfully launched Garry's Mod and you can see the main menu, then you're going to want to click the text saying "Start New Game." This is how you will be able to load a map and also start a new game. Once you see the map selection menu, then you're going to want to click on which map you want to load. I usually choose gm_construct_15 but I think that this should work with other maps. Once you have a map selected, just press the blue button that says "Start Game." If done correctly, you should see a loading screen.



The loading screen should look like this, the game will hopefully begin shortly.
