Crowbar and GCFscape can open VPK files. You need the pak01.dir in the update folder

Apparently, I don't have the right program to get to them or am just straight-up doing it wrong. Oh well.

The new scripts are found in the pak01 of the "update" folder. Everything is the same as before, just the HUD icon location is changed (and some shell ejection effects and maybe something else).

Could you possibly make a guide on rescripting weapons post-TLS? I only know how to do that kind of thing the old way and I'm fairly certain that won't work anymore.

Just download any mod that has them and reverse engineer it. That way you can find out which files to change and where to locate them.

There's no way to change those icons through scripts. I suspect this is changed elsewhere, perhaps in hudlayout.res

Ok so I watched to the end with the defibulator icon and it leads me to a question...

I've made a hud icon replacing the pain pills, I now know that I will have to redo it, as I see the purpose of the different sizing for the left and the right icons (will use your png thanks for providing).

My question is this: how do you replace the greyed out/unobtained equipment icon (when you don't have the defib, pain pills, etc.). Can this be replaced or no?
