Legacy Monsters

Overview

The Legacy Monsters mod reimplements the old and abandoned legacy monsters found in the game files that do not normally appear in the game. They will appear alongside the other monsters while exploring the map, as well as inside ruins and wrecks.

All the legacy monsters found within this mod have been given some touch-ups to bring them up-to-date with the newest monsters. They have received new sounds for certain circumstances where they did not have any (such as being damaged or dying), as well as the possibility to be dismembered while alive. More improvements to the individual creatures will be made where possible.

If and when the monsters included in this mod find their way into the official game again after having been remade, depending on how different the remade version is, the legacy monster will either be renamed to be a different creature entirely (for example: legacy crawler is renamed to "Mudroach" due to not having any resemblance to the current crawler), or it will simply be called a variant of the remade one.

The more things a mod overrides, the harder it is for it to be compatible with other mods.
