You need to activate the beta to be able to fight the new bosses to get the achievements.

Go to your steam library, right click on monster train, then click on properties. Go over to the beta tab and click on public-test-server then wait for the game to update. Ta-dah, you now have access to the beta.

You can just play through the game as normal and you're bound to get the two achievements eventually.

There are many ways to kill both Talos and Archus before they start their final phases, but I'll show you how I did it on my run.



Mutations still let you get the achievements, so we're going to use that to our advantage. Go for the doubled status effects, double triggers, and +2 ember per turn.

Go for the new Awoken champion and restart until you get the Incant: +1 Attack. Because of our mutations your champion will add 6 Sting Spells when you first summon him, and gains +2 attack every time you play a spell.

This is probably enough on its own to kill Talos and maybe Archus before they starts their final phases, but let's stack the odds more in our favour eh?

You can restart until you get a Sting Enhancing artefact (either +20 damage or +10 and pierce) to guarantee your champ will be hitting either Talos or Archus by taking out the meat shields in front. Combine with an Incant: Rage Siren (With Multistrike, of course) and you'll be killing the bosses by as early as turn 2, depending on how lucky you get with the floors they choose.

So yeah, that's about it. Enjoy lording your <1% global achievements over the rest of the plebians for the five or so days until the update drops.
