It is completely up to the player which list to use, But I recommend using the Abbreviated Role list as Wills are capped on character usage.

EXCEPTIONS TO INVESTIGATOR RESULTS

• If the FRAMER uses their ability on a Player and the Investigator checks the same Player, The Player will appear as FRAMER, VAMPIRE, JESTER.
  
  
• If the HEX MASTER uses their ability on a Player and the Investigator checks the same Player, The Player will appear as FRAMER, VAMPIRE, JESTER, HEX MASTER.
  
  
• If the DISGUISER uses their ability and the Investigator checks the said Disguiser, The Disguiser WILL appear as the role they Disguised as.
  
  
• If the Player is doused by an Arsonist, The Investigators Results will appear as (BODYGUARD, GODFATHER, ARSONIST) / (BODYGUARD, GODFATHER, ARSONIST, CRUSADER)

I've seen some confusion in game when it comes to Sheriff Results.
So below, is a breakdown of what roles are Suspicious and what roles are Innocent.

While also highlighting mechanics that can alter those results.

• Godfather

• Werewolf (During a non-Full Moon night)
  
• All Townies (Including the Town Traitor)
  
• All Neutral Benign (Amnesiac, Guardian Angel, Survivor)
  
• All Neutral Evil (Executioner, Jester, Witch)
  
• All Neutral Chaos (Pirate, Plaugebearer, Pestilence, Vampire)

FACTORS THAT MAKE AN EVIL PLAYER SEEM INNOCENT:
A member of the Coven wielding the Necronomicon.
A Mafia member Disguised as any of the above roles.

• Serial Killer
  
• Werewolf (During a Full Moon night)
  
• All Coven Member (Unless they wield the Necronomicon)
  
• A Mafia member Disguised as any of the above roles
  
• All Mafia Members (Excluding the Godfather and unless they are Disguised as an "innocent" role)

FACTORS THAT MAKE SOMEONE SEEM SUSPICIOUS:
Anyone Framed by a Framer.
Anyone Hexed by the Hex Master.

Anyone who has been Doused will still appear as their normal result.
Dousing does not affect Sheriffs results, unlike results for Investigators.

Example: A Serial Killer that is Doused, will still be Suspicious!
Example: A Bodyguard that is Doused, will still be Innocent!

While we all use are wills for our Claims and our Results, The Notes tab tends to be forgotten about.
I recommend using your Notes tab as a Player Claim counter.

So for example, If 6 claims Jailor, just put down "Jailor" beside 6 and so on.
It's a good way to keep on top of Claims, seeing Non Claimers and noticing Counter Claims and Fake Claims.
