Difficulty related achievements: You have to complete the game on Extreme Conditions difficulty with True Viking mode enabled.

Note: It's technically possible to do everything in one playthrough (doing backups of the savegame), but it would be really difficult and annoying, so I don't recommend it.

Step 1 - Complete the game on Survival difficulty without losing anyone:
At the end, I recommend to kill the volcano, kill Elof and kill Björn. You will get:
- Volcano Killer
- The good, the bad, and Elof
- Tough Victory
- Nobody will be left behind

Step 2 - Alternative Ending:
Load a savegame before killing the volcano. Ignore the volcano, spare Elof both times and kill Björn. You will get:
- Clever Victory
- Not the real threat

Step 3 - Clean up:
Load a savegame before giving all Orichalcum Beads to Freyja (before getting the last piece of armor), go to the volcano and pass the test. You will get:
- Volcano Survivor

Continue playing and refuse to pay tributes. Also take Angelico to the village. With an upgraded village you can pass days very fast and this step shouldn't last more than 4 hours. At the end, you will get:
- Murder in Vinland
- Don't poke the bear

Note: Get any other achievement that you still don't have unlocked during this step.

Step 4 - Complete the game on Extreme Conditions difficulty with True Viking mode enabled:
This should be your only task missing (3 difficulty related achievements). The first 4 weeks are a real challenge. Having completed the game before will help you to be more efficient and know what to expect and what to do. See You're not human achievement for more information.

You will find a "Strange Blue Woman with Cats" during the exploration of the island. She will give you a quest, and you will have to give Orichalcum Beads to her.

Skull Ball
Get the Skull Ball.
Give the first 3 Orichalcum Beads to Freyja.

Orichalcum Helmet
Get the Orichalcum Helmet.
Give another 4 Orichalcum Beads to Freyja.

Orichalcum Gauntlets
Get the Orichalcum Gauntlets.
Give another 4 Orichalcum Beads to Freyja.

Orichalcum Greaves
Get the Orichalcum Greaves.
Give another 5 Orichalcum Beads to Freyja.

Volcano Killer

Go inside the volcano without protection and get out alive.
In conflict with: Volcano Killer.
Missable You have to go to the volcano before completing Freyja's quest (before getting the last piece of armor).

Note: You will have to pass a test based on Courage, Strength, and Constitution. One failure and the character will die. Leave the game without saving if this happens and try again.

Related event: A Stairway to Hel.

The giant sword wielding woman
Convince Gwendolen to join your cause.
She will give you some tasks to accomplish. Once you prove your strength, prepare for a tough fight. But that won't be enough, you will have to win her in a duel.

Related events: Burnt Wild Humanoid, Wild Dark Horse and Giant Hammer.

The silent hunter
Convince Grim to join your cause.
Talking to him will start a fight. Once defeated, he will listen to you. He is mute, and Björn holds his daughter captive in a cave. You will have to find her.

Related event: Well Guarded Cave.

The scrawny smug warrior
Convince Njall to join your cause.
Njall doesn't like to fight, you have to convince him. After defeating him, you will find out that he may be interested in an insult duel. You will have to find 5 insults.

Note: During the duel, the order of insults is: 2 - 1 - 1 - 2 - 1

Related events: Weird Device (3 insults), Björn's Camp Entrance (1 insult) and night event between Kari and Moira (1 insult).

The small angry dude
Convince Egill to join your cause.
Talking to him will start a fight. After defeating him, Moira will have an idea. You will have to look for 2 items that she needs.

Related events: Horse Head and Ominous Writings.

The good, the bad, and Elof
Kill Elof.
Missable After convincing the other four fingers of Björn, Elof will continue to support him, and you will have the option to kill him.

Note: You have another opportunity to kill Elof after finding his stash. See Clever Victory achievement.

Tough victory
Slay Björn.
In conflict with: Clever victory.
Missable You have to kill Elof. That will prevent him from poisoning Björn.

Clever victory
Slay Björn after poisoning him.
In conflict with: Tough victory.
Missable You have to spare Elof both times. After finding his stash and sparing him the second time, he will tell you about poisoning Björn.

Related event: Mysterious Cave.

In order to complete the game, you have to kill the volcano before killing Björn. Otherwise you will get the last achievement in this section.

Get a character to level 15.
Moira levels up very fast, she can reach level 15 before you finish exploring the island (this will be harder to accomplish on Extreme Conditions difficulty).

I'm the best at what I do
Get a skill up to 100.
Characters that focus on very few skills and always do the same job will eventually reach 100 in the skills they use.

Sucks to be you
Accumulate 10 negative traits on one character.
Characters start the game with 4 permanent negative traits, so 6 additional negative traits are needed for the achievement.

Note: You can easily get negative traits by spamming the refreshing button in the level up menu.

We are not alone!
Recruit your first ally.
You will find other survivors while exploring the island.

Crowded
Have 10 characters in your village.
Missable You have to upgrade the Shelter to be able to recuit 10 people.

You're fired!
Kick a character.
He will try to convince you that he should stay in the camp. Say no.

Death in Vinland
Lose a character.
Only death from reaching 100 in Fatigue, Hunger, Sickness, Injury or Depression counts toward this achievement.

Missable The best way to get this achievement is to recruit Angelico. After some night events he will murder another survivor.

A village is born
Craft all stations in the camp.
You have to craft all camp stations in the Workshop.

Master builder
Craft 75 upgrades (multiple playthroughs).
You have to craft 75 camp stations upgrades in the Workshop.

Master blacksmith
Forge 150 items (multiple playthroughs).
You have to craft 150 items in the Forge.

Shepherd
Raise 5 sheeps simultaneously.
Missable You have to upgrade the Pens to be able to have 5 sheeps at the same time.

Dark was the night
Spend a night without fire.
You have to start the night without any fire.

Note: The easiest way is to start a new game and don't start a fire. If you want to do it in an advanced playtrhough, keep in mind that you will need a Tinder to rekindle the fire.

Good Little Ponies
Give the maximum tribute to Elof.
Elof will ask you for an extra payment as a personal commission when he comes for the tribute.

Note: It's best to do it with the first tribute, otherwise the animosity gauge will increase. After that, paying the normal tribute won't have any effect in the animosity gauge.

Don't poke the bear
Make Björn loses his patience.
Refuse to pay tributes. If the animosity gauge fills up completely, Björn will make a last visit to the survivors.

Note: You can also get the achievement by killing Elof after discovering his cave and letting 2 days pass (after killing Elof, Björn's bar reaches its maximum) - Thanks to cersthemonk

There is a chance to find a fight every time you explore an area in the Expedition Camp. You can easily find more than 50 fights during one playthrough.

Einherjar
Win a fight with only one character.
It can be done in the very first fight or you can wait for the endgame and go into battle with a survivor with multiple combat buffs.

Highwaymen
Win a fight with 2 looters in your team.
Missable There are 3 looters in the game: Eustache, Shanaw and Cissé.

Headcleaver
Deal more than 15 damage in a single hit.
Kari is the best character for reaching 15+ damage with a single attack. Her damage multiplier is higher than normal and she has a nice critical chance without buffs.

Triple Kill
Defeat 3 enemies with single attack.
Archers and fighters have area attacks. Attack the enemies until they drop to low health and finish them all with an area attack.

Thor Avenged
Kill Loki
You will find Loki during the exploration of the island. Tell him that his prices are too high and he will ask you to deliver a package to his brother.

Related events: Muscular Blue Warrior.

Characters - Who to recruit:
I recommend to have between 6 and 8 survivors in the village (6 was perfect for me). My favourite characters to recruit are Eustache and Lady Tomoe. Eustache is a looter (more resources after fights) and is good at Forestry and Fishing. Lady Tomoe is good at combat and can work at the Mining Camp and other camp stations if needed. She will also train Kari.

Characters - Jobs:
- Kari: Primary: Expedition Camp. Secondary: Hunting Camp.
- Eirik: Primary: Workshop and Forge. Secondary: Fishing Camp and Lumber Camp.
- Blodeuwedd: Primary: Water Supplies and Cooking Pot. Secondary: Harvesting Camp, Herbalist and Lumber Camp
- Moira: Primary: Harvesting Camp, Herbalist, Garden and Healing Tent. Secondary: None.
- Eustache: Primary: Fishing Camp and Lumber Camp. Secondary: Water Supplies.
- Lady Tomoe: Primary: Mining Camp. Secondary: Whatever.
Blodeuwedd has priority at the Lumber Camp over Eirik. The Workshop should always be active in the early stage of the game.

Characters - Who to take to fights:
- Kari: She is the best combat character in my opinion. She has a high critical damage and a nice critical chance. Lady Tomoe will train her to be even more deadly. She has low health so try to get it from level ups.
- Lady Tomoe: She is the other character with a high critical damage. She lacks critical chance and will require to get it from level ups in order to be efficient.
- Eustache: As a looter he will get more resources after fights. I like Eustache because he is a warrior and can buff the other characters (being all in the same line).

Camp Stations - Construction Order:
The first station should be the Lumber Camp. After that, I would focus on stations required for survivors' health (Harvesting Camp (Hunger), Rest Area (Fatige) and Tavern (Depression) are the priority). Mining Camp, Healing Tent and Fishing Camp should come next. The rest of the stations are more useful at a later stage of the game.

Camp Stations - Recommended Upgrades:
- Shelter: Pillows II, Religious Idol II and Reinforced Roof II.
- Expedition Camp: Maps II.
- Workshop: Robust Materials II.
- Water Supplies: Boiling Device.
- Lumber Camp: Iron Axe.
- Cooking Pot: Cooking Pot III and Cooking Tools II.
- Herbalist: Hemp Knowledge and Seeds Knowledge (it's recommended to focus).
- Mining Camp: Stone Knowledge and Iron Knowledge (it's recommended to focus).
- Dryer: Dryer III, Rain Protection II and Traps II.
- Garden: Garden III and Fertilizer II.
- Pens: Pens III and Animal Remedies II.
Camp stations not listed don't need any upgrade to be efficient.

DLC - The Vallhund:
This is a very good addition to the game and I really recommend it. The dog is very useful as it can find bones, food and resources. It can also buff Kari to be better at Exploration and Hunting. In the late game, it will be able to mantain combat buffs (offensive and defensive) for every character.
