Download Steam and set up your account.

Step 2

Buy the game called "Terraria" from the steam store and download it

Launch the game

Click the "Singleplayer" button and make a character, then make a world

Enter the world

Look at your keyboard. There should be letters A and D close to each other. Press A or D to move left or right. Using this, get to the nearest tree you can see.

Press the button on your keyboard with the letters "ESC" on it. It should be in the corner. Now check if the wood you just picked up is in your inventory.
