There are 2 ways to access mic privacy settings via stat menu

then settings
then privacy
and clicking on microphone

or tray if you have something using the mic like discord when connected to a voice channel. Just click on the mic in the tray to be directly taken to the privacy settings for mic

Microphone privacy settings

scroll down till you see xcc
image shown has it set to off

xcc needs to be set to off to disable its access to mic
Game Settings
in this section we will go over the vc setting for the game and how to get there
Click on options
Then click on audio
then go down to vc settings
these are the options for vc activation

as of version ver 0.1.0.2168 never seems to not be working this could be the game, xbl, or xcc
Conclusion
This info still needs to be tested.

It has been confirmed by at least 3 people that this works
All player need to have the these in place in order for you to not transmit audio
1 source is from the Xbox Console Companion app and the other source is from the game
i'll also include an section on the Xbox Console Companion app for reference no pics included due to Mic options can be different from computer to computer.

Things needed to be added to the game.
Things they could do in the next version to fix this is to allow voice chat to be disabled in the pc version as a working option.

Known Things
you can turn the voice chat volume to 0% though if it is transmitting voice through the game it is using xbl voice chat services and microsft is listening. so your microsoft account can get banned from any t.o.s violations regarding what you say in voice chat via xbl services.
Xbox Console Companion
you find this in the start menu
under all applications or when you open the start menu start typing xbox console companion and it should show up quickly

just go to setting

and look for microphone

in the drop down list look at how many options you have and use a mic port without a mic attached if you have one available.
After Thoughts
If you are using speakers and a mic the you need to make sure the speakers aren't being picked up by the mic. Because this creates feed back loop and echoing effects. You can also get this on a headset by having the mic too close to the headphone or audio output is loud enough for the mic to pic up.

On a realtek sound card you may need to get the drivers for your sound chip from them to fix a known issue with the default drivers in win 10. that causes echoing effects and corrupted audio in and out.
