Bering is the art of spawning a Bering I-86DP in a small, confined space near other players.

The Bering I-86DP is the slowest, biggest, least maneuverable plane in Just Cause 2. It doesn't have guns. It's pretty much useless.



Unless you know the secret to make it the most powerful weapon in the game. When used correctly, the technique known as "Bering" can be more powerful than the Panay Rocket Launcher.

In this guide, I will teach you how to Bering.

The process of Bering may sound simple. That's because it is simple.

Step 1: Find an area to Bering.

There are many areas in Panau great to Bering. The trick is finding an area that is densely populated. This area must also not be a flat land; you cannot Bering unless there is some sort of enclosed space. Unbreakable or unmovable trees, buildings, walls, and structures make great places to Bering.

An example of a good place to Bering is inside the Mile High Club (MHC) assuming there are player in/around there. Even if you don't hit anyone in your Bering's blast, it will cause great confusion.


Step 2: Make a friend.

This step is recommended but not required. The reason for this is because when you Bering, the chances that you're going to die are about 99.9%. If you have a friend, you can warp back to him every time you Bering, allowing for multiple Bering's in succession. This creates the most confusion.

Step 3: Walk into said enclosed space.

Get into the middle of the area you want to Bering. Make sure that the Bering will be forced to clip through a wall, or some sort of solid, unbreakable, unmovable object. Have the friend you're going to warp to, if you have one, stand back. You don't want him to be cought in the blast.

Step 4: Prepare for buying a Bering I-86DP.

Press B. Click on paint, and change your vehicles colors to hot pink, lime green, and other extremely vibrant colors. Click on the planes tab, and move over to the Bering I-86DP.

Step 5: Buy the Bering I-86DP.

After a half a second's pause, the Bering will spawn in, exploding in a massive fireball, killing anyone within it's wingspan.




Step 6: More Berings.

Don't stop when you die. In multiplayer, you can spawn vehicles AFTER you're dead. You can also teleport, but that's irrelevant.

The very second you explode, and you hear the death sound effect/tune/thing, press B and click buy. If you haven't moved your curser, it will still be on the Bering. Keep pressing B and clicking as fast as you can, spawning exploding Berings over and over again, causing extreme confusion for those around you. They won't understand what's happening as 4-5 gigantic explosions happen repeatedly next to them.

Step 7: Warp back to your friend.

Once you are warped back to him, repeat the process. Try to run up to the same people you were near last time and Bering them again.

There is another method to Bering. This method does not require ANY sort of structure near you. However, it *usually* requires two people.

Friend one spawns a Bering in a crowd of players. However, we want to make sure that this Bering does not explode just yet.

Friend two then walks up to friend one's Bering and stands underneath the wing.


Friend two then spawns a Bering underneath the wing of friend one's bering. The result is a fireball two times larger than normal. Duh.


After the Berings explode, immediately start buying more, as discussed earlier.

There is an ocassional glitch that occurs when Bering. I'm pretty sure it's caused by spawning more Berings after yours explodes, killing you.

When I would respawn, and warp back to my friend, another Bering would spawn near me. I wasn't in this one- I would warp, see a perfectly intact Bering for a split second, then it would explode. I don't know if this will happen again or if it was just a one-time thing.

Now that you know how to Bering, here are is a showcase of me Bering.







Above is a perfect place to Bering. Something like this occurs rarely, so when it happens, take the opportunity to Bering.
