Instructions
Insurgency Sandstorm uses a lot of disk space if you have ever played with mods including custom maps. This is how you safely clean up the game folder saving you 100's of GB in space.

1) Go to your Steam directory then go to steamapps\common\sandstorm\Insurgency\Mods\modio

2) You will see a bunch of folders with numbers. These are the Mod ID numbers.

3) Open the first folder. You will now see a few more folders with random numbers. These are generated by the game anytime the mod or map has been updated.

4) Using the Details view, check the DATES of the folders. Delete the folders except for the latest dated one. (Do not delete state.json it doesn't matter.)

5) Repeat for all other folders. This will remove the old versions of the mods you no longer need on your system.

*If you only see one folder inside the main mod folder it just means it hasn't been updated and maybe there is only one version so don't delete that.

If any questions let me know, or better yet you may message me in #techsupport at http://www.tactical-gaming.net Discord community.

Cheers!

If you want to save even more space, go into the most recent folder for each mod and delete the zip file inside of it. Mod.io downloads the mod in a zip, unpacks it, and then just leaves it there. It's no longer needed, so you can just delete it and free up the space. Depending on the mods you've subscribed to, it can be anywhere from several MB to several GB per zip file.

Very good.

I suspected this was happening and submitted a ticket to NWI.

Hopefully they will automate this.
